Stayed one night in the Captains Room and could not fault in any way. The attention to detail and standard of cleanliness were impeccable as was the pleasant and friendly attitude of all members of staff and owners. Very highly recommended. Ate at the Dreel which is only OK but lots of inviting looking restaurants within 10/15 mins walk. Breakfast... more

It certainly doesn't surprise me that this B&B has such a high percentage of Excellents. The owner could not have been more helpful. The place, though quite large, was spotless and everything was very efficiently run. We had a room up at the top of the house (ensuite) with beautiful views from two windows out to sea and up the... more

Lovely accomodation, but put off by the persistant discussing of previous guests in a very negative way. We just knew there would be something said about us. Fine if you come from Edinburgh, but NOT to be considered if you come from Glasgow. The anti-Glasgow atmosphere made me feel uncomfortable. more

We visited the Spindrift for a 3 night stay in August this year. We had a family room (1 double and 1 single bed) and a very well kitted out room it was. A fairly large and clean en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, plus a wall-hung LCD telly with built-in DVD player. The hosts supplied complimentary shampoo and shower... more

The standards at the Spindrift are of the highest quality, it is exceptionally clean, the rooms are very comfortable and include additions you would be pleased to find in a very expensive hotel. The food was beautifully cooked and served. I would recommend this Guest House without reservation. more

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for a last minute weekend break away from the city and it was perfect. The Spindrift was fantastic, the owners were lovely, friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay. We were in the Captains room which we thought was wonderful as we like boaty things and enjoyed the story about the... more
