Could not have been better. To begin, we were met with the quintessential Scottish accommodations overlooking the Firth of Forth. The views were amazing! The grounds were neatly manicured with cliffs to the east that caught the golden hour sunlight, then a gentle breeze. A deep sigh and then we entered. Many places visited say that they are "true Scottish... More

We stayed three nights while attending the Open at St. Andrews. We were greeted by Pauleen, the innkeeper and owner. Very kind welcome and showed us to our room. Accommodations are comfortable and clean. Had dinner right at the hotel and truly it is one of the best meals we have ever had and we travel often. Pauleen's daughter ,... More

Unfortunately we only stayed one night. But it was more than enough to appreciate this charming small family run hotel, right on the beach. The rooms need some upgrading, but they are clean, covering all basic needs, and they have a breathtaking sea view which easily helps you forget any mishaps. The staff is friendly and helpful. As for the... More

Stayed at Pauleen's quaint place for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the property and the company. Pauleen is a gracious and helpful hostess. Looking forward to our next visit to Aberdour, and will definitely be staying at Forth View Hotel again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay at the Forthview. We appreciated Pauleen's generous and personal service, local insights, tasty local food, and stunning views over the Forth river. Our dinner at Hannah's 'Seaview restaurant' was excellent. Thanks for a great holiday! We would happily visit again.

We enjoyed our stay here, but did find the Forth View Hotel to be a more basic hotel in need of a little upgrading. Although many reviewers have commented on the evening meal, we were not able to take advantage of this, as the venue was operating as a B&B and not a Hotel at the time we stayed. Should... More

Booked the Forth View as our final stop on a two-week Scottish golf trip. What a fortunate choice! The location is right at water level below a cliff and with great views of Edinburgh just across the Firth! Not only is the hotel a special place but the dining and service, both dinner and breakfast, were also exceptional. We had... More

Discovered this hotel and it's restaurant "Room with a View" when we were walking on the Fife coastal path, and decided we would love to return to the area and stay here. We had room 5, with stunning views up and down the Firth of Forth. It was difficult to move away from the windows, even the loo had a... More

The Forth View is hidden away at the end of a steep, narrow road but it is well worth finding. We can thoroughly recommend room 5 with views of the Forth and the city of Edinburgh beyond on two sides. This is a small family run place and has a homely almost 'guest house' feel. The owner is very welcoming... More
