Our cunning plan for the Edinbugh Festival worked a treat - stay across the Firth and get the train in - hotel really is 2 mins from pretty little station and bonus of trip across the famous Rail Bridge. Plus we took a day along the Fife coast with great views across to Leith. Food better than you might expect... more

I have been travelling to Scotland, with a group of friends, for over twenty years to watch the rugby internationals between Scotland and Wales. During that time we have seldom returned to the same hotel. We have now found the place where we will return each time, the Aberdour Hotel, Aberdour. It is an ideal location with easy access to... more

After visiting the Aberdour 2 years ago our party of 12 golfers were delighted to find the same friendly, attentive attitudes from the staff. The food was again excellent and a bonus was that rooms had been re-furbished since our last visit. First in Fife Golf passes ( excellent value) were organised through the hotel and waiting for us on... more

This year was my 6th stay at this excellently run Hotel. Always a welcome from Scott, Iona and Margaret. The accommodation is excellent and the food is as always fantastic. I am already looking forward to my next visit in 2010. more

Do not be put off by the somewhat unprepossessing exterior of the Aberdour House Hotel because inside is an extremely well-run small hotel. From reception through to check out we were dealt with by friendly and efficient staff who were eager to help with requests for information and made our stay very enjoyable. The double bedroom we had, although not... more

We booked the Aberdour Hotel due to its proximity to Edinburgh airport but en route to our next destination - Aberdeenshire. The staff were very friendly and made an effort with the food. The lads rated the haggis starter dish and the chilli burger. The pub was very much a locals' haunt and a little tired but that didn't bother... more

Our week at Aberdour was fantastic, it is the first time we have stayed in an hotel for 11 years and we would like to congratulate all your staff. The owners were on leave the week we stayed and Margaret, Supervisor/Admin, was such a help to us before and during our stay; nothing was too much trouble and we felt... more

" My wife and I recently spent a few days in the village of Aberdour on the north shore of the River Forth. The village is only thirty minutes by train or car from the centre of Edinburgh but proved an ideal spot to sample some of the many beautiful but challenging golf courses in the area. Make sure you... more

We recently went to the Aberdour Hotel restaurant, Mortimers Deep and had and excellant meal, the steak was cooked to perfection and Fajhitas had lots of chicken and tasted amazing! We also had 2 bottles of Shiraz that went down very nicely! Can't recommend this place enough for great food and not expensive either! The new owners and revamped menu... more
