We booked the Aberdour Hotel due to its proximity to Edinburgh airport but en route to our next destination - Aberdeenshire. The staff were very friendly and made an effort with the food. The lads rated the haggis starter dish and the chilli burger. The pub was very much a locals' haunt and a little tired but that didn't bother... more

Our week at Aberdour was fantastic, it is the first time we have stayed in an hotel for 11 years and we would like to congratulate all your staff. The owners were on leave the week we stayed and Margaret, Supervisor/Admin, was such a help to us before and during our stay; nothing was too much trouble and we felt... more

" My wife and I recently spent a few days in the village of Aberdour on the north shore of the River Forth. The village is only thirty minutes by train or car from the centre of Edinburgh but proved an ideal spot to sample some of the many beautiful but challenging golf courses in the area. Make sure you... more

We recently went to the Aberdour Hotel restaurant, Mortimers Deep and had and excellant meal, the steak was cooked to perfection and Fajhitas had lots of chicken and tasted amazing! We also had 2 bottles of Shiraz that went down very nicely! Can't recommend this place enough for great food and not expensive either! The new owners and revamped menu... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel two years ago and were not too impressed but we had been told that it had recently been taken over by a young Scottish couple who have made such an impact. The food was so much better lots of fresh local produce and our bedroom and ensuite bathroom had recently been fully... more

a decent hotel, nothing special, but decent. all clean and tidy. comfortable room. very friendly and helpful staff. shower over the bath, have to spray oneself with the handheld shower head. bit odd. but it's a good strong spray, so not actually too bad. a shortage of electricity sockets in the room. kette wouldn't fit in the sink to fill... more

We came down for a six nations rugby match and stayed here. The retaurant and food were superb - the breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. The bar staff were very friendly and chatty and all made us feel very welcome. We had a room in the converted stable annexe, it was clean and comfortable with... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel whilst attending T in the Park. We were welcomed by friendly staff who let us check in earlier than normally so we could make our way to the festival. The room was basic but clean. There was no hairdryer provided so I got a nasty shock when I went to dry my... more
