My only criticism would be the lighting in the bedroom, too dark to see clearly to read and bathroom lighting poor for shaving/styling hair/for putting on make up. Overall though our stay was very pleasant and certainly would consider returning for a short break. Lovely village with nice walks too.

Excellent service... Clean and good value. Lovely food. I would recommend a stay here to anyone; it is pretty remote however the hotel has everything you need for a passing visit, or is perfect for a holiday.

Stopped by for lunch recently and enjoyed the rustic feel of the restaurant, The service was also friendly although the server was rushed off his feet! I felt the menu was too big and the quality must suffer because of that, There's atleast 50 dishes available for lunch! Wouldn't rush back for food but i would go back for a... More

This hotel may be aiming at being "shabby chic" but I think the emphasis is too much on the shabby side. The general standard of the décor, particularly in the corridors and rooms requires attention. the room we occupied for two nights was grubby, cobwebs round the ceiling, grime on skirting boards and mould in the shower. The mattress felt... More

We stayed at the Goblin whilst visiting relatives in the area. Comfortable and friendly village pub with rooms and a restaurant. Our room was comfortable and well furnished. The breakfasts were excellent.
