Stayed one night in business. Great food and atmosphere. Great quiet location and restful stay. Quiet rural location. Building had lots of character and I will certainly stay again in the near future.

This was our second visit because we simply loved it the first time! A picturesque, quite rural, village, but within easy travelling distance to the nearby small town of Haddington or, if you fancy a bit further afield, a short drive to Edinburgh! The setting is beautiful, the staff are polite and friendly and make you feel like one of... More

Myself and my new husband spent our first wedded Christmas at the Goblin Ha' this year and it was our best Christmas yet! We enjoyed every moment of it from the lovely decorated room and the warm friendly staff. I can not rave enough about the staff, they were fantastic! The food was fantastic also. We will certainly be back... More

I had originally seen a great deal on Itison for The Goblin Ha' Hotel, I decided to buy the deal for two nights for my boyfriend's 30th birthday and make it a good getaway from Glasgow from 8th Dec. As it was an Itison deal, I half expected the treatment and room to be less than standard so was quite... More

Hello, I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. On the window, it's part of the quirkiness of our old building that from time to time maintenance issue creep up on us - window now not rattling! Thanks again B More

Good food and pub/restaurant environment for families or couples. Lovely breakfast and nice touches in the room including sherry and truffles on arrival. Will definitely return again for another visit :)

We stayed at the Goblin Ha for a couple of nights recently. Although after reading one of the previous reports we seriously thought about changing our minds but thought, no that's daft, give it a go and what is the likelihood of getting the same room as the person with the negative comments on Room 5 anyway!! Anyway when we... More

After a long day and travel problems due to bad weather conditions, we phoned ahead to say we were going to be late arrival. We eventually arrived at 23:30 to be met by a friendly welcome and shown to our comfortable room. After a good night's sleep we had an excellent traditional Scottish breakfast which set us up nicely for... More

Booked two nights' b&b with an Itison voucher, 5th 6th Dec. only stayed one night. Room 5 is so grotty, curtains hanging off rail, skirting boards and carpet not been cleaned for ages. No room to move, unbelievably uncomfortable bed was only 6 inches from wall on one side so no table or lamp and extremely difficult to access. At 65... More
