Nice quirky hotel over a pub in a very quiet village of Gifford. It's an old building so all the stairs creak, the floors are slightly uneven, the doors are big and heavy and you can hear noises from other guests coming and going. The bar downstairs can be a little noisy but nothing that would disturb your sleep. Our... More

We stayed 1 night. A nice, lovely quit little town. Edinburgh only 15 minutes by car. Excellent place to explore the borders, Edinburgh, Glasgow, the East coast. Very friendly staff. Room and bathroom were sufficient, everything you need is there. Breakfast is simple but good.

I've never been to Gifford before but was delighted when I saw what a beautiful village it is. The Goblin Ha is a lovely, quaint hotel, parking was no problem, the staff were very friendly, the room was clean and spacious and the food was good. The staff really went out of their way to be helpful and make me... More

Just returned from a 2 night break at this lovely place in a beautiful village setting. We had Room 7 which was very well equipped and very clean. Also very quiet, despite overlooking the 'main' road. The welcoming sherry and truffles were a lovely touch! When our room was serviced after the first night all the towels were replaced, the bathroom... More

We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Goblin Ha'. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and even though we arrived early, our room was ready and waiting for us, which after a very long flight from Canada was much appreciated so we could nap. Our room, although petite, has everything you need, and more. We especially loved the welcome draft... More

The food, service and overall value were very good. However two days of the dark and dour style of general decoration was plenty for me. Staff friendly and welcoming. Location quiet, surrounding countryside beautiful and I saw my first free flying eagle close by.

Stayed at Goblin Ha in order to attend a wedding. Rooms were spotless and staff welcoming friendly and helpful. This is a pub with rooms rather than a hotel but we found the experience to be excellent with a good choice for breakfast.

sI stayed at the Goblin Ha Hotel for 2 nights with an Itison Deal over a weekend. The Hotel was spacious inside with lovely decor and a large conservatory and outside Beer Garden. We took the dog which was great. It was lovely and relaxing to sit in the beer garden in the sunshine in the evenings and morning for... More

Goblin Ha was a nice experience. A nice room but a little bit small and it would have been great with more space for clothes. The room was clean and nicely decorated. A small bathroom with shower. Very nice breakfast. The food in the restaurang was good. Kind and helpful staff. It was good value for money and we could... More

The room was plenty big enough and well furnished, although facing the road, we were not disturbed. The food in the restraunt was amazing and the garden area spectacular, just wish the weather had been a little warmer to sit in it Breakfast was served at good times so no need to get up too early would highly recommend
