Helpful, friendly staff. Comfortable room. Lovely restaurant and bar. Superb location. A great place to stay! We would happily stay there again. Ideal for Edinburgh and surrounding area, plus the east coast.

The large number of people visiting this Inn is a very good sign of it's popularity. It is situated in a village some four miles away from a larger conurbation and whilst we stayed for four nights it was always popular and they have a lot of tables to fill. Waiting staff are very good and are well led by... More

We arrived at Goblin Ha' after a long, tiring journey. The young lady who greeted us could not have been more sympathetic or helpful. We were shown to a delightful room, where we quickly refreshed. When we later went downstairs, we were offered every amenity, and we found every member of staff to be as eager to please as the... More

Hello, many thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I am really pleased that you enjoyed your visit. The sink in room 6 is small due to the size restrictions in the bathroom....it's impossible to fit anything else in! We do have network coverage for some mobile operators but other can be patchy....... Many thanks Grant More

Visit Goblin Ha again last night. Food as usual very tasty. Calamari. Crispy and not greasy. BBQ Burger had great flavours along with accompaniments. Homemade coleslaw fantastic. Great choose of food for adults and kids alike. Waiter was so friendly to the children who loved popping outside to the 'secret garden ' after courses.

The location was very good and we had no problem parking very close by. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and efficient. The decoration of the room was very tired and the light-pull above the bed was loose from the ceiling. The only socket for use with the kettle (and hair-drier) was at skirting board height and the cable... More

Hi Chris T, I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately we are stuck with an old building and although we have recently refurbished all rooms, there are little niggles from time to time that you wouldn't see in a Premier Inn. Hopefully you appreciated the ambience, location and the service priovided by our team. Regards Grant More

Let me start by saying I know that the majority of the hotel is an old building which has it's charm. However my gripe is with the modern extension. I've seen sooo many reviews here where people bring up very valid points about the place being unclean or dated only to have their views shot down by the managers go... More

Hello, many thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I agree that we have neglected the conservatory a bit...there are a few reasons for this (pending redevelopment) but we have no excuses for poor cleaning. Sometimes when you are in the same environment everyday you stop seeing the detail......we have no attacked the issues! On the food, I... More

We had a great time here. We were in that neck of the woods for a meeting and to take in the Royal Highland show (the show was excellent if your thinking of going next year - only 25 mins away). Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing to much trouble, food was excellent, we ate on two nights, both meals... More

We enjoyed our stay at Goblin Ha' - it was picked originally for location. I would pick it again for it's quality and friendliness. Staff were excellent and the food was good quality. The Director "Ozzie" went out of his way to make sure we were happy with everything. Our room was on the small side but as we were... More
