Hosts Paul and Mabel share a very nice, locally known place to view Loch Lomond that is not in guidebooks. You'll have to stay there to find out where it is. Close to Glengoyne Distillery, where Rosie and David shared their knowledge. Central to other Loch Lomond places of interest and The Trossachs.

Dunno what you expect from BB but for me it usually is what it says on a tin - bed and a breakfast. Not here though! Firstly it's not, like in most cases, a case of nice pics online but the reality well behind. Here it's beyond expectations - it's new, modern but carefully (and well!) blended into the cottage-y... Having had this B and B booked for us by a prospective alternative host, we were most pleasantly surprised. It was perfectly located, not far off our route north, and we were welcomed by a roaring fire in the communal lounge and a pot of real tea (ideal on a drizzly afternoon after a 7 hour drive through storm and... We stayed here in April on our way to Skye. A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay - for us and for our dog. No dramatic views but there are plenty of those around to enjoy during the day. Ask for the local tea rooms where you'll find delicious cake. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from an eight-night stay here during the Commonwealth Games and by the end it was beginning to feel like home. Paul and Mabel were very welcoming and friendly, giving us suggestions of where to go on our 'days off' and recommending places to eat. Our bedroom was comfortable and the large guest lounge an added bonus.... More

Lovely accommodation and very welcoming. Friendly owners who gave us ideas of activities to do within the area and even phoned up to book our boat trip for us. The breakfast was really tasty and presented nicely. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend & I recently stayed at Ardoch Cottage. We were greeted by Paul and Mabel, who could not have been friendlier. Over the two nights we stayed there, we were provided with a beautiful Scottish breakfast, lots of local information (including about local walks and bus times) and a roaring fire upon our return from a day spent by... We spent 2 nights at this lovely B & B and had the place to ourselves:) This meant we had the sitting room with real fire which our Grandson Archie Loved. Paul and Mabel could not do enough for us and Archie loved them. We took our little yorkie with us as well, the rooms are large and comfortable with... More

Paul and Mabel extended a warm Scottish welcome to us. Their cottage is warm, cosy and relaxed. We were attending a BUGS dinner at the lovely Ross Priory and chose to stay at Ardoch as the nearest B&B because Ross Priory rooms were all booked. On arrival, Paul greeted us and we were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely contemporary... More
