I would like to give a big thank you to the staff at Dungiven for a very memorable meal. My wife and I booked the restaurant as a surprise for a friends fiftieth birthday. We visited the venue prior to the meal to check that arrangements were all in order and were met by willing friendly staff, especially Michelle and... more

I should have written this review a few months back but it is hard to put into words the experience we had in Dungiven Castle. It is what I regard as the best kept newest secret of the Northern Ireland. My wife and I were in the Norh west for a family function and we only discovered this place by... more

My husband and I stayed in the castle for 4 days and it was everything we could have hoped for, from the welcome we received from Donna in reception to the room we stayed in. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in away from home. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was the best we... more

I liked the rooms of this hotel very much! They were old style charming and had lovely views. Old fashioned keys opened the room and the bathroom was bigger that a European hotel room. We only stayed one night in this hotel but hope to go back and stay again! more

Lovely clean accommodation with wonderful views. We stayed one night for our Wedding Anniversary and never left the Castle. First class reasonably priced evening meal and breakfast in the Dining Room, which includes a well stocked bar. A fine bedroom with a flat screen TV and very comfortable bed. The Owners and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideal... more

Pros: Castle! Hosts! Rooms! Rates! Food! Views! Grounds! Cons: It's in the middle of town and the town is kind of shabby. However, this is a nit and more than made up for within the four walls. We did 2.5 weeks in the UK/Ireland and this was the best place and heads/shoulders above any place we stayed in Ireland. We... more

We picked this "castle" to stay due to its proximity to Derry. It is actually about 20 minutes outside of town in the unimpressive town of Dungiven. This was the first city on our trip that really didn't inspire us to go out. Fortunately, the hotel has a nice restaurant with decent food. I had a goat cheese appetizer that... more

We arrived at Dungiven castle, firstly I noticed how clean it was and had recently had an expensive re-furbishment. The Room was light, spacious and tastfully decorated. I especially liked the views over the valley and tidy well maintained grounds. We had dinner in the restaurant once again we were not dissapointed, great food beautifully prepaired and presented. All in... more

We wanted to stay one night in a castle in Ireland and I don't think we could have done better than the Dungiven Castle. The Rooms were gorgeous, the view out of the windows was postcard perfect and our dinner and breakfast was very good. Noel was there every minute, it seemed, to take care of anything we needed or... more
