No salt and pepper on the table. ....why?......none required. The food was seasoned to perfection and the presentation a work of art. Service, menu choice, wines all top drawer. The wine and dine menu is the best I have experienced. Will certainly back. Can't recommend it enough.

We stayed here for two nights in the newly refurbed Buchanan Suite which was stylish, modern and had everthing one could have wishedfor. Check-in was warm and friendly, as was the service through out. Thank you Corrine and Darren in particular. But the undoubted star of this lovely Inn is the food. Will is an exceptionally talented young man. As... More

Will Brown must be one of the best chefs in the country. His food and attention to detail in presentation is superb. My wife and I had a simply fantastic meal at the The Old Schoolhouse this evening in beautiful surroundings spoilt by very attentive staff. My favourite restaurant ever is La Garvoche in London, the Old Schoolhouse matches it... More

Last night I visited my favourite local restaurant but left feeling unsettled. Our starters -though delicious - were the smallest of small portions , a crab portion which was actually a mouthful. Three of the mains very tasty but one steak which consisted of two small slices of "beef" The market vegetables for the table consisted of what appeared to... More

The rooms at the The Old Schoolhouse can be booked separately but are mostly used by those eating in the Will Brown restaurant in the adjacent part of the property (see separate review). The staff were very welcoming, and took us to our room with a minimum of check-in fuss. The rooms are named after American Presidents who had their... More

I have stayed at this property twice, on business through work. The rooms are great, modern and recently refurbished. The decoration is beautiful. The home cooked breakfast is spot on! From fruits, cereals, home cooked bread, jams and a great Ulster Breakfast. The owners and staff are very friendly and approachable and look after you during your stay. The restaurant... More

Visited a few weeks ago for the Sunday evening menu. Service was exceptional, staff were very welcoming and happy to help. The food was first class. Menu was varied and very good value for what you get. We will definitely be back

My husband and I visited on Sunday for the Sunday lunch menu. I have several allergies and the staff are excellent at dealing with this. I even got a dessert that wasn't on the menu as nothing else was suitable. The food was excellent. We have been several times before and never been disappointed. Will definitely be back!

We went for Sunday lunch two weeks ago for a special occasion. The atmosphere in the dining room was most welcoming and the waiting staff extremely friendly and professional. My wife's first course of peach chicken liver pate was innovative and quite delicious and my chocolate desert was an absolute delight. I think that it was the owner's wife who... More

Just had lunch here and was very impressed with the food and service. Food was imaginative and served hot and fresh. Staff were friendly and attentive not to mention easy on the eye :) . Only slight criticisms were the mini lake at the front door and the interior decor looked a bit past its best. I intend to both... More
