First - I've now read all the other reviews and would make a couple of observations about these to start with: 1. Overall the responses to Anna's House were wonderful - and I agree! 2. Traditional B&B's are in someone's home!!! Have some people forgotten this? (But they are also now advertised as such in "gastro pubs with rooms" and... More

My second stay in the wonderful Anna's House . Had booked to eat in Balloo House and stayed the night here . I simply love it here . Anna and Ken are wonderful friendly hosts and make you feel very welcome . The house itself has beautiful views over the lake and it is a lovely spot to catch the... More

We stayed at Anna's House on a recent trip to see where my grandparents grew up. It was wonderful to stay in the beautiful countryside with such great hosts. The breakfast was amazing each morning with fresh fruit salad and an Ulster fry that had the potato bread just like Grannie used to make. The room was bright and cosy.... More

I stayed a whole week here exploring Belfast, County Down and Armagh city. Its located off a minor road about half a mile west of Lisbane, which itself is 4 miles south of Comber. The approach is via a long shared driveway (the hedges of which are not overgrown - contrary to what was stated in an earlier review). The... More

What a Jewel ,a Haven hidden away in the Co Down drumlins, whilst easy to find in one of the most beautiful parts of N Ireland !! As a biased Ulster exile who loves returning to East Down, I always look forward to staying there, but this time the excellent website for Anna's place caught my eye. I was drooling... More

I spent three nights at Anna's House and cannot speak highly enough about the quality of the experience. Both Ken and Anna were warm and hospitable. I arrived fairly jet-lagged and was revived by wonderful tea and homemade scones. Breakfasts were delicious and for anyone wanting a restful few days, but still with easy access to interesting places, do stay... More

I have just stayed at Anna's House and would like to thank Ken and Anna for their warm welcome and hospitality. A B&B is what it is but its the little things the personnel touches that makes it a great place to stay. I stayed at Anna's House over Easter and on the Saturday night when I got back to... More

We received a warm welcome from Anna and Ken, with a lovely cup of tea and homemade biscuits with a beautiful sunset to enjoy on arrival. This is a beautiful home with a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are lovely and bright, clean and most comfortable, the breakfast was great and kept us going all day. We thoroughly... A warm welcome with a pot of tea from an elegant china set, lovely homemade biscuits and friendly chat in an amazing unique vista room with grand piano. Our stay was comfortable, relaxed and peaceful. The beautiful linen sheets have to slept in to be fully appreciated. Breakfast was thoughtful and comprehensive including fruits and cereals before our full Ulster... More

I honestly can't remember the last time I stayed in a B & B, but can say with conviction that I will never forget my first experience of Anna's House. My wife arranged everything as a birthday surprise for me (a day's sightseeing on the Ards Peninsula, dinner at Balloo House (of which more detail elsewhere), followed by an overnight... More
