I booked afternoon tea for myself and my mum for the day before Mothers Day. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely young lady who showed us to our reserved seats immediately. Our choice of beverage arrived promptly, followed by a delicious and unusual selection of sandwiches, salmon on wheaten bread and scones with jam and cream, in... More

If you want to escape and wallow in civilised comfort - this is the place to come! It's like opting out of 21st century mayhem and finding peace. Large room overlooking country church, comfortable bed, tea & coffee, Victorian decor and beautifully furnished. Robert is a superb host - so helpful and friendly and breakfast was magnificent. Poached plums, delicious... More

We have been frequent visitors to this tea room, but our last visit was disappointing. The lovely welcome and service which we used to enjoy from the ladies is now gone. Now its 2 very young girls Who just didn't have a clue how to provide service. I had the stew which was tasty, but the portion was very small.... More

Booked a room as I was working in the area, wasn't really prepared for what was to follow being more used to traditional hotels. On arrival I was greeted by Robert, a superb host, who showed me to my room which was generously sized, well equipped and comfortable. Robert asked if I'd like tea or coffee and it was served... I stayed here over the Christmas holidays and I had a wonderful stay! It's a beautiful period house and a roaring open fire, home made tea and biscuits welcomed me. The bedroom was gorgeous and I had one of the best night's sleeps for years. The breakfast was delicious with home made breads, jams and stewed plums. The location is... More

Rather than a Xmas lunch, we opted for afternoon tea at Marlagh Lodge and we definitely made the right choice. The tearoom is round the back of the house and on the way there we were greeted with a very large and vocal cockerel and his two lady hens. Even that was a treat! The tearoom is very much in... More

Have been for afternoon tea and lunch. The food is outstanding with great staff and atmosphere. Food is very different and you can tell it is made from scratch in the kitchen. The afternoon tea is brilliant and so well priced! So much nicer than Belfast Castle afternoon tea. The owner and cook come out and say hello was is... More

Marlagh Lodge is a stunning and lovingly restored home. I stayed one night whilst travelling for work and wish I could have stayed longer. My room was cosy and comfortable with a wonderful en-suite shower room. Breakfast was delicious and warming; the poached plums were a delight. Robert was a great host, providing advice about local eateries and being mindful... More

Well where do I even begin with Marlagh Lodge?! My husband has stayed here for business as he works all over Belfast and I decided to have a weekend in Belfast as I have never been. My first night he surprised me with a stay at Marlagh Lodge and OH WOW! We stayed in the Blue Room, 4 poster bed,... More

Marlagh Lodge is one of the best places we have every stayed in. Very welcoming, extremely comfortable and the breakfast was the best ever! Plus entertainment from the four cats and the cockerel and hens. The location is excellent. Highly recommended.
