I was there for a wedding and stayed a few nights. The view from my window overlooked the weir with water tumbling over rocks and making the most wonderful sounds and was simply beautiful - gently lit at night made it a most romantic place to be. The grounds are extremely well kept and are just as beautiful. The staff... More

Positives- spacious clean super comfortable room. Hotel in general very spic and span. Spa facilities for me are beyond the best in Northern Ireland having been to most other local hotels offering these facilities. Outdoor jacuzzi pool just fabulous. Despite being busy there are different things to see in the spa so it didn't feel crowded- people just moved around.... More

I have visited Gillies bar quite often, it has not always lived up to expectation but the good usually outweighed the bad. Tonight was a major disappointment, we arrived before 7pm we were informed that the only table for 2 was beside the bar directly opposite the door, the draught every time new visitors arrived was unacceptable, when we left... Really lives up to its standards, and exactly how a spa should be and make you feel. I am so sad to leave Galgorm, they gave us a £50 voucher when we were leaving towards another stay, which we will definitely be doing. Obviously the grounds are very well kept and the whole place is breathtaking, but the best part... More

Myself and my girlfriend are just back from this hotel and we both felt the level of service was second to none. It was my girlfriend's birthday and they went out of their way to make it one to remember. We stayed in a deluxe room over looking the river which is well worth the extra money. I'd have no... More

Stayed here on business. It certainly has a specular exterior and grounds and the restaurant , bar and reception areas are impressive and pleasant. My room was large but had a very average bathroom, a small square shower cubicle without any shelf for bath gel etc - making it an awkward experience in a small space. Their were insufficient toiletries... More

My friend recently treated me to a birthday treat to stay one night with use of spa and a 4 course meal in Gillies. Everything was excellent and what sets it apart from others is the friendliness of all the staff. We had lunch and wine before booking into our rooms. The bar man was lovely and made us feel... More

I recently had afternoon tea in the River Room at Galgorm and can honestly say that it was the best afternoon tea that I have experienced. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was of a very high standard and great value for money. It was also nice to get soup, chicken salad, sandwiches and a bacon and... More
