It's an old haunted castle. It's right on the North Sea. People who stay there get a rubber duck to take along and photograph in other places. more
£2.50 for an espresso coffee, very expensive in comparrison with like hotels in N.Ireland. The owners of the hotel have done a great job with the character of the Castle flowing throught the hotel. To pay for this however - be sure you have your hard earned money stripped from you at every oppertunity. Awful value for money. more
We stayed at the Ballgally Castle to attend a friend's wedding (not at the castle). It is located on the Antrim Coast Road, yards from the sea. The rooms are well appointed with big, comfortable beds and large bathrooms. My husband and I attended a wedding at the Ballygally Castle in May 2006. The wedding was at 1 00 pm and it was no bother to the staff to arrange an early check-in. The staff arranged transport into Larne and nothing was too much bother. Our room had a front sea view. Wow!! Absolutely stunning. The food was excellent... more
