My parents & I often went to Ballygally Castle Hotel for Sunday lunch before the refurbishment. While Ballygally was closed we started going to the Stormont for Sunday lunch. After Ballygally re-opened we decided to go back there although it was more expensive than the Stormont which has a wider choice of food. In July Mum & I had a... More

Enjoyable stay all round, had a very nice room on the second floor. Very modern hotel. Enjoyed the Ghost tower, and the room at the very top of the hotel (Must see). Very comfortable and spacious bed, and beautiful room, very modern with fancy bathroom too. The only negative was that there was a wedding on that day/night, and they... More

We recently attended a wedding at Ballygally Castle and were really impressed by the stunning location, fabulous staff and delicious food. From the moment we arrived staff welcomed us and ensured that as a guest of the wedding we were well looked after. After the ceremony we enjoyed a drinks reception in the gardens before making our way into the... More

You cant get a nicer drive than round the Antrim coast and Glens on a sunny day. We decided about 2 months ago we would have Sunday Dinner at Ballygally Castle on our way home. On arrival we were told the resturant was full even though the hotel was very quiet so we were sent to the bar for bar... More

Stopped for a light lunch. Was our first visit and wasn't disappointed. Decor and atmosphere were gorgeous, staff attentive and polite. Food was presented beautifully and was plentiful. Price surprisingly reasonable. Loved the nice touch of thick rocky road chocolate which came with our tea. Will definitely book dinner in the restaurant when we are next in Northern Ireland. Fabulous!!

Everybody who visits the North of Ireland should stay at one of the Hastings Hotels. I have stayed in the Slieve Donard in County Down & have just stayed at the Ballycastle Hotel in County Antrim. I must say as a much travelled Irishman from Cork, the Hastings Hotels are amongst the best in their class that I have ever... More

My father had booked this place while my wife and I were accompanying my parents on their "retirement" vacation. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect and was pretty hesitant about a hotel that alleged to be in a "castle." I was very happily surprised. The hotel has apparently undergone a very recent renovation - everything from the lobby, to... More

We only used the restaurant, as we were staying in an apartment in Ballygally. We came three consecutive evenings. On two evenings the restaurant was quiet, and the service was dreadfully slow, there seemed to be staff standing around chatting with each other rather than giving the guests their full attention. On the third evening, despite having a coach party... More

A more romantic spot would be hard to find....a small boutique hotel, excellently refurbished, with landscaped lawns and gardens to match. Rooms are a little small, but nice, and the authentic castle has been refurbished recently. Dinner was outstanding, consisting of multiple courses, and gourmet all the way. "Ghost room", reached by winding stone staircase as is common in these... More
