We were passing by and thought we'd call in for dinner. It was getting on in the evening, we were all hungry and our very young kids were getting tired. The hotel looks lovely following the refurbishment, they've done a great job with it. We sat in the lounge and ordered our food. Then we waited, and waited, and waited... More

Stayed overnight in Ballygally Castle Hotel. The Hotel had just opened after a refurbishment. Decor was excellent, I had a seaview room on the second floor which was superb. The food in the restaurant was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Congratulations to Stephen and his team they have got it just right.

Have just today returned from an overnight stay at Ballygally Castle Hotel, we booked a deluxe room overlooking the sea only to find that the heating in the room did not work after speaking to the management they moved us to another room which was smaller but they insisted was a deluxe room, they told us that there were still... Stayed at Ballygally Castle last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are superbly furnished, exemplified by the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and a powerful shower. The food at the hotel was the highlight for me. For dinner I opted for various seafood options on the menu eating haddock, salmon and cockles throughout the course of... More

Stayed in the Ballygally Castle for the first time last week. Thought the decor in the reception, bar and restaurant was excellent. The service throughout the hotel from Lisa on the front desk, Jackie on the bar and Taylor in the restaurant left me and my two friends suitably impressed. My only disappointment was having to check out the next... More

Dear FLYINGNANNY, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I am truly sorry that your experience of breakfast was not indicative of what one might expect of a Hastings Hotel or indeed Ballygally Castle. While it is of little comfort, your experience is not reflective of the very positive feedback that we have received in the week... More

We are a great fan of Hastings Hotels and would usually stay at the Slieve Donard, Culloden or Stormont but as the Ballygally Castle Hotel had just re-opened we thought we'd give it a try. The hotel itself is beautiful as are the grounds and surrounding area. Our bedroom overlooked the sea and could not be faulted. As we were... More

Dear Alana G, Thank you for your candid feedback. I am delighted that you enjoyed your accommodations and evening meal in the Garden Restaurant of Ballygally Castle. It saddens me that your experience for breakfast did not reflect the other positive elements of your experience at 'the Castle', There are no excuses; we should have done better. You have my... More

I have stayed in this hotel many times and have never been disappointed and this time it was no different. Stephen and the team have done an outstanding job with the refurb, they have got it exactly right, the design, the decor are superb. Whilst it has been modernised they have managed to keep the originality( they've got it just... More

Dear 'Friend of the Castle', Thank you for your kind review of the newly refurbished Ballygally Castle. We were delighted to open our doors again on Sunday 6th April to welcome all of our friends and neighbours. We have been busy serving up Afternoon Tea in the new hotel foyer, overlooking Ballygally beach and the Mull of Kintyre. The Garden... More

Sadly we had to cancel a previously booked reservation to BallyGally we had made in March for my partners birthday due to bad snow - but we really wanted to visit and thought the location looked amazing, so we rebooked for Oct and 3 nights instead of 2. From stepping into the hotel the staff were warm, personable and very... More
