Very friendly staff who booked us in. Rooms were dated and in need of decoration and up grade. The toilet water ran through the night and the television did not work. However the hotel was very clean throughout.

We have visited the hotel for meals on a number of occasions and on each one the welcome was friendly, the service was first class and the food as excellent. A wide choice of food is available and catering for a wide range of tastes. Some very tasty dishes! Highly recommended.

We just went in for a couple of pints and couldn't have been met with a better welcome. We didn't stay in the hotel but hospitality from Dave and his patrons was fantastic. Definitely worth popping into if you're on the Antrim coast

After three weeks on the road the meal at this hotel was a delight. The lamb cutlets and vegetables was the closest we had come to traditional Australian meal in a long time. The service was excellent and the view out the window was fantastic

My husband stayed at Halfway House for a single night during our honeymoon in Ireland. We originally planned on making it to Portrush but decided to stop in Ballygally since it was getting dark and we didn't know the roads. We had dinner the night we arrived and breakfast was included the next morning. Their menu had a lot of... More

On our first night in the area we were looking for somewhere to eat on Sunday night. Just down the road from our accommodation the place was very busy, but they still managed to find a table for us. Even though the place was very busy we still received fast, efficient and very friendly service. The menu had a wide... More

I found The Halfway House Hotel when I was working in Northern Ireland. After spending 3 months living in all the mainstream hotels around the area I decided to try the Halfway House on recommendation from someone else. I'm glad I did and I was so happy staying there I stayed for 6 months and my colleagues stayed for longer.... More

Called in here for a short break and lunch. The hotel is situated on the sea front and on a good day has great views of Scotland and the maidens light houses, Parking across the road from the hotel. Food served in the bar restaurant from very helpful staff. Good variety and worth a visit
