This is a nice stopping point on a drive round The Antrim Coast. The approachable, welcoming Dave "Boy" McAuley is often toiling away in the restaurant and is a very down to earth and conversational. The view from the restaurant, over The North Channel, is glorious on a warm, sunny, clear day. Good selection of dishes on the menu, and... More

My wife and I endeavour to have our lunch in the Halfway House at least once a month. We have had our lunch in loads of places, but have yet to find a place of such high quality of the Halfway House. It has a lovely setting looking out to sea towards the Scottish Coast,on the Antrim Coast road. There is always plenty of... I have had the pleasure of staying in this hotel twice over the past number of years whilst attending events in the locality. On both occasions, the staff could not have been more helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. Great value for money also! A lovely place to stay

Just returned from 2 night break with friends. We had a very enjoyable stay. Location is superb with fantastic views, staff were excellent and very friendly and efficient. The food was first class, and overall the place has a lovely cosy atmosphere. Would certainly recommend for a short break or a visit for food. Thanks to everyone for a very... More

I visited here with a large party in June , having been a regular customer afew years ago I was looking forward to a return visit. What a let down, the hotel is grubby and dirty looking , the furniture completely mismatched but above all the main issue was the rude staff... One particular 'lady' middle aged with long hair..didn't... More

Situated on the seafront with fantastic views out to sea. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. Price includes a lovely cooked breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was good but the staff were even better; nothing was too much trouble fir them. I was fantastic to see staff who clearly were happy in their... More

My husband and I were at the Dalriada Festival yesterday (Sunday 13 July - a great day out for the family and well worth going to) and we had booked into the Halfway House last night. The staff were all friendly and efficient, our room was very comfortable and with a lovely sea view. The hotel is spotlessly clean and... More

We stopped for a meal on a busy Friday night. The bar was busy but we were quickly shown to our table and given menus. A very good choice of food at reasonable prices. Our food arrived quickly and it was perfect. The staff are friendly and efficient, Dave Boy is attentive and welcoming. We have eaten here over the... More

An amazing choice of food, lovely surroundings, friendly staff and amazing views over the Irish Sea - who could ask for more???? We booked in to the Halfway House Hotel on Saturday night (it was a toss up between here and the Ballygalley Castle Hotel). So pleased we choose here. Highly recommended and we will be back!! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Halfway House Hotel is a family run hotel, situated on the world famous Causeway Coast/Antrim Coast and Glens. It can be described as the Gateway to the Glens and Causeway Coast because of the location. From the front of the hotel you can see that it is situated in a picturesque seaside village. On clear days, if you look across the sea you will be able to see the mountains of Scotland. Within the hotel there is also a large lounge area (Maidens Lounge) where food and drink are served daily. The menu has a wide variety of food available – from seafood to steaks and a great selection of sweets. Again this area has lovely views over the sea. ... more   less
