10.04.14 .. Nine of us walked in off the street, age range 5 - 70 yrs, we all had main courses & a round of drinks which came to just under £90.00 !! Served Ringwood Best Beer, lots of choice on the menu, including several vegetarian options for one of our daughters friends. Very firendly & quick service !!

My brother and I had a day trip to Wareham leaving early on Sunday morning without having any breakfast. We arrived about 09.30 am and The Black Bear was open. We both had coffee and I had scrambled egg on toast and my brother had a sausage sandwich. We enjoyed it so much and the service was so good that... More

My husband and I visited this establishment both nights of our stay in Wool, as the food, atmosphere and service were superb! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but the service from Carol (I think that was her name) was outstanding! It made the pub stand out from the others in the village. Our food was delicious both... More

On a day trip to Wareham, we did the complete wall walk, then looked for somewhere for lunch, the notice board outside the Black Bear advertised Senior Citizens 2 course lunch for £4.99. The staff were very friendly and the 2 course meal was value for money, especially the apple crumble and ice cream! Would recommend and return.

We had a very pleasant few drinks here just before Christmas and were very happy to stay for the rest of the evening, it was fairly busy but a nice atmosphere ... then we were politely asked to move as we were sitting where the disco goes! After moving nearer to the bar the disco started up (Friday night) and... More

Popped in for lunch as we were driving through the town. Bar area was almost 100% covered in Halloween cobweb spray. Oh well. Mid way through fairly average sandwiches a bar maid with a 90s plastic visor arrived, swearing loudly and discussing getting drunk with the regulars. I'm not bothered by swear words but discussions such as 'I could kill... More

Booked this hotel to stay in after going to wedding nearby, room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and very helpful and breakfast was tasty. Would definitely use this hotel again and felt it was good value for money.

Stayed here on a stop over from Germany, arrived late but was no problem. I booked a single room, which was right on the main road and slept like a log. My room could do with a bit of an overhaul, carpets and wallpaper could do with a tidy-up,but for what i got in was value for money. The food was excellent and... More
