Stayed in a 3 bed lodge August 15. These lodges are fantastically equipped, with everything from basic pots, pans, and cutlery to stair gates clothes airers and pizza cutters. They car really cosy, the hubs are brilliant. The only downsize for me was the remoteness of the site, this may be your ideal. There is wifi in the lodges however... More

We have camped here with children for years. This year the play area has gone, replaced by "luxury" lodges. Children used to congregate there and make new friends very quickly, now they just seem to roam the campsite making a noise,, often until nearly midnight and they only appeared 5-6 years old. This used to be a coo campsite but... More

A few years ago, I would've given Burnbake ten stars let alone five. It was the most unspoilt campsite I had ever known. A little cabin shop and basic facilities which were clean and perfect for your needs. The people were friendly and helpful. The site itself was very relaxed, children could play in the woods and people could camp... More

Having planned to stay a week, we left Burnbake campsite after just 3 days and only stayed that long because we'd paid in advance. The site itself, under the trees, was lovely. The sign read "full" but we were told that people had left and we could pitch anywhere as long as we observed the strict 6-metre-between-tents rule. The very... More

I've spent only one night in this campsite but I would have spent several others without any second thoughts if I had more free time. The location is beautiful, a semi-wooded area in the heart of Studland (most pitch areas are levelled and with grass), just a few minutes driving/ cycling from the sea and with plenty of things to... we are home after our 1st visit to burnbake. we camped amongst the trees which was different and had quite a bit of space compared to some. the site was very busy and even though the sign said full people still ignored it and rocked up to squeeze themselves into any space they could. having said that we loved burnbake... I have just returned from five nights at Burnbake, with my husband and two boys (4 and 8). The site is a beautiful, turn up and pitch site. We managed to get a lovely pitch in the main field with easy access to the small shop, shower block and little cafe. We found the site to have a wonderful family... More

We had visited Burnbake in 2013 and loved it. We camped by the stream near some rope swings and by a forest. It was secluded but also had all facilities. The kids loved the playground and the freedom and space. We thought we'd be coming back every year. Sadly the new management have restricted camping to the main field only.... More

I came back from this beautiful camp site, all green and with a lot of space for the children to play. I love the smell at night when everybody lights their fire pits with wood. The restaurant has good food with reasonable prices and people are very nice and friendly. The restaurant is so cute, it is like a tent... More
