30 years ago, this hotel was probably the height of luxury and class. Today it is immensely dated and the rooms lack the comfort and finish of a hotel at this price point. We stayed in an executive room, which was clean and had a large bathroom (with shower + separate bath), a nice balcony and views over the garden.... More

My husband described this hotel as Crossroads meets Fawlty Towers. We stayed one night as a last minute stopover in the area. What an unfortunate decision. The hotel is not well signposted. The interior of the hotel is exceptionally dated. Our room was reminiscent of a motel room - ground level, by the car park. You couldn't even sit on... More

In summary, a lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. I booked the accommodation for a group of friends so we could walk part of the southwest coast path. When the size of our party changed only a few days before the walk, the reception team were extremely helpful in helping to re-organise the room bookings. My friends found the rooms... More

Nice, clean countryside hotel with good leisure facilities. Very beautiful garden, particularly front of hotel. Professional and friendly staff. Good choice for relaxing weekend escape. Definitely we will go again.

Where do I begin...... Cleanliness - terrible, last guests mess still in the bathroom, including shaved hairs!!! Damp, cold, musty room, dusty, dead bugs, no heating, when we asked we were told there wasn't anything available. We asked to change rooms, apparently the hotel was full, so that was a no! The windows did not open at all!! Breakfast was... More

Myself and a group of friends were staying in the area for cycling so we didn't make enough of the facilities at the Springfield Country Hotel. I guess if we'd had time to use he pools, jacuzzi, golf course, etc then it would have made the bill more bearable. The rooms were generally pretty nice but overall it was a... More

I've seen the other comments and agree that the decor to this hotel is a bit disco - the main areas, especially the lounge, are very 1970s and could do with a bit of modernising. From the front it doesn't look too special but the rear of the hotel is where it's really at - very, very pretty. We booked... More

Positive Points: -Friendly, kind service from all staff -Great leisure facilities (indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, steam room) -Fantastic grounds and well kept gardens Negative Points: -Hotel and rooms are very dated- lots of old furniture and wallpaper that keeps falling off. -The hotel had several lifts but I didn't find one without an 'Out of Order' sign- according... We stayed here several years ago and as we wanted to be in the Wareham area had no hesitation in booking this hotel again. I booked a standard room, however, we were upgraded to a first floor room with balcony overlooking the lovely grounds. It was my husband's birthday and we thought it a very nice gesture. It is a...
