Perfect location by the river at Wareham old quay . Saturday lunch was very tasty in comfortable surroundings washed down with excellent badger beer. Not a typical hall and woodhouse pub but then prices a little higher than normal to reflect this . That said service was first class and overall good value for money . Will visit again for... More

After a long walk we called in for a well earned drink, but then decided to have lunch time meal, the service was excellent and the food came out quite quick, it was very well presented and the food was to high standards as you can guess the plates were clear, I would recommend this restaurant. Well done staff.

We visited quite early on a Friday evening having reserved a table. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. We were given small sample tastes of the unfamiliar real ales which is always a nice touch. We both enjoyed our meals, steak for my husband and fish and chips for myself, portions were ample and the... More

Four of us had a really good lunch, picked crusty rolls with various fillings and fries served in a tin mug, excellent, waitress really good and friendly but had a barmaid with an attitude problem, spoilt our lunch a bit. Will go back when she's not around.

A beautiful September autumn day saw us return to this beauty spot on the river. The menu has changed a little since last visited and I love how they use prices like £6 1/2 or £5 3/4 on their menus. My husband and I opted for the rolls, a crab filling in mine and coronation chicken in his, both with... More

I went for an evening meal with visiting relatives and children. The restaurant was extremely busy. Food was of high standard (I can recommend the burgers and homemade pie). What made our visit worthwhile was the exceptional service, especially dealing with picky in-laws and impatient children. Thanks to our waitress Tina, our every need was catered for. Will defiantly visit... More

We went for a meal here one Sunday evening after a very enjoyable boating trip. We had a long wait and the tables were a bit dirty - could have done with a good clean. The food was just average pub grub, certainly wouldn't rush to eat there again. I had 'lobster' spaghetti with a piece of fish on top.... More

Went for lunch on a busy sunny Saturday, I ordered the duck and my friend had steak, our waitress was very friendly and efficient and had told us that there may be a little wait on food, but we were quite happy sitting in the beautiful surroundings. When the food arrived it was absolute perfection. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to... More

Ate here for lunch, beautiful day so we sat up on the roof terrace, menu is varied something for everyone. I chose the house burger and fries, service was slick and food delivery was just right, food was hot and it tasted really good, only niggle was the burger was overcooked so a little to dry for me but not...
