I went for an evening meal with visiting relatives and children. The restaurant was extremely busy. Food was of high standard (I can recommend the burgers and homemade pie). What made our visit worthwhile was the exceptional service, especially dealing with picky in-laws and impatient children. Thanks to our waitress Tina, our every need was catered for. Will defiantly visit... More

We went for a meal here one Sunday evening after a very enjoyable boating trip. We had a long wait and the tables were a bit dirty - could have done with a good clean. The food was just average pub grub, certainly wouldn't rush to eat there again. I had 'lobster' spaghetti with a piece of fish on top.... More

Went for lunch on a busy sunny Saturday, I ordered the duck and my friend had steak, our waitress was very friendly and efficient and had told us that there may be a little wait on food, but we were quite happy sitting in the beautiful surroundings. When the food arrived it was absolute perfection. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to... More

Ate here for lunch, beautiful day so we sat up on the roof terrace, menu is varied something for everyone. I chose the house burger and fries, service was slick and food delivery was just right, food was hot and it tasted really good, only niggle was the burger was overcooked so a little to dry for me but not... The staff are wonderful. Good service, brought food and drinks to the table in good time. Everyone was very polite and friendly. The food was a delight. Some had hot food and some had sandwiches but everyone was very happy with size and flavours within each meal. The kitchen staff are well worth their wage. We got a good seat... More

We try and visit Dorset once a year and have been staying in Weymouth for 4 nights. We have had meals out every night and so far, and this was the best! The pâté to start with was amazing! My husband had Lobster for a main and he couldn't fault it. The puddings (Chocolate Fondant & Panna Cotta) were so... More

We have just come back from a disastrous evening. We very rarely eat out in the evening but as it was our Anniversary yesterday we decided to go to the Granary as we had previously had a lovely family party here. It was very busy (at 7 pm) and all tables booked inside but we were told that we did... More

Booked a 7:30pm table for four in June while on holiday in Dorset. Lovely table in the window. Busy sunny day. We waited 20 mins for our order to be taken and 45 mins for our starters to arrive. Three of us ordered Veal for the main course, the presentation was not good and the veal was inedible; very greasy,... More

We visited this Pub/Restaurant a couple of days ago whilst holidaying in Dorset, we where lucky enough to be able to sit outside on the riverside, which had a fantastic view. The meals where nice and filling. If I was to be picky (As a publican myself) Hall and Woodhouse claim to be a family PUB company, the menu is... More

My friend and I went for breakfast as it was recommended by someone who lives in Wareham. The place itself is nice and the surroundings on the river, are very pleasant but, the eating experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered a "House Breakfast" and "Soft Boiled Eggs with Soldiers". At £7.50 and £4 respectively I thought they were overpriced and,... More
