I wanted to go somewhere lovely within three hours of London by train. This place looked to fit the bill very well. Our suite was one exceptionally large room with different zones. It was delightful. There was a sweet little balcony with river views, a massive bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. We stayed four nights and... More

We travelled for a three day rest and it was great to find that in Wareham and surrounding area I was not the oldest person! The hotel buildings, setting and wonderfully kept gardens were an absolute delight.Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks on the terrace were magical. The surrounding coastal area from Studland to Lulworth had great walks and the weather enabled... More

We wanted a few nights away to chill out in a lovely location. 'Go to The Priory Hotel in Wareham' our friends said, 'stay in The Boat House'. I duly phoned the hotel to find that The Boathouse was financially beyond us but they were offering a Summer deal of 25% off, for a Classic double room with shower. So... More

Service, quality and ambiance are all top flight. No, they will never get 5* or even 4* rating due to the restrictions of the delightful, charming old listed building which obviously could never accommodate lifts, disabled facilities etc. Don't come for bells, whistles and all mod cons, come for a relaxed, luxurious and stately treat. The whole property is beautifully... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, and it was an unusual place, with very beautiful features and some real downsides. Our room was tiny and cluttered, and covered with twee blue patterned wallpaper, furnishing, everything. Beautiful views from our bedroom of the river behind the hotel and on the other side, a magnificent garden. There is no lift!! we had... More

we arrived and had to carry our bags from the gravel carpark, through the hotel, upstairs then down some stairs,I found the reception staff unhelpful. We arrived for drinks, and for our dinner booking at 7 pm,before any other guests,we sat on the terrace and we were last to have our order taken and last to sit down in the dinning room... More

Had an absolutely amazing meal hear last night, thank you very much. The level of attention by the staff us absolutely spot on, attentive but not obtrusive, the building is beautifully grand with lots of fantastic rooms to just chill out in. Our meal, canapés followed by three glorious courses, rounded off with coffee and petit fours in the lounge.... More

My partner and I stayed two nights at The Priory Hotel in late June 2015. After a long and busy Friday afternoon drive from London we arrived at the private and secure car park in the hotel grounds to just the sound of our own footsteps and the birds in the trees! After a friendly welcome from the reception staff... More

Our most favorite restaurant that we visited yesterday for a special lunch. We were able to eat outside due to the weather and it was perfect. Wonderful Lobster, Niçoise salad, Dressed Crab, Desserts, all exceptional. I could hear others commenting on their excellent lunch to the staff. We were not hurried at all and guests were arriving for delicious cream... More
