All is well at this family owned and run country house hotel - a well oiled system tried and tested - overseen by some dedicated and very well trained staff. We were up graded to a large comfortable room at the front of the house - well appointed with a superb bed and aproper sized bath. We felt relaxed and... More

It was so nice, to come again, to Plumber,we hadn't been for a while, and the food is just as it used to be. well cooked and that bit special, we all had wonderful starters, a filo & brandy cream tart, with wild mushrooms, & shrimp, Avocado with prawns, Scallops with pea puree, followed by Chateaubriand with Bearnaise sauce, a... We have had Sunday lunch at this superb hotel in the past, and decided to return to celebrate the year end. We were not disappointed - everything from the initial welcome as 'old friends' to the final goodbye a delight, with the usual attention to detail in the ambience as well as the food. After superb starters (a light meal... More

Just had to write comment about this beautiful place. We go out for lunch in and around Bournemouth most weekends but with our daughters and their friends, we decided to travel a bit further afield and visit Plumber Manor and so pleased we did! We had a lovely warm welcome, sat in the bar, which had a beautiful open fire,... More

This hotel is very very special. Privately owned with the family working in the hotel, the guests are made to feel so welcome and pampered by care and great food. I will definitely go back again. It is a lovely old Manor House style hotel where you are treated like a family guest rather than a hotel guest. There are... More

After a very personal welcome, we were shown to the excellent accomodation which had been prepared for us both and the dog! Beautiful walk from the hotel over the fields and back for a welcome drink in the garden outside the bar. Had a great meal in a wonderful restaurant with really attentive but not over fussy waiting staff. Try... More

Arrived after a long drive from North Yorkshire (and after being at work from 5 am) about 8pm.Car park busy and of course it was dark. A wiff of wood smoke hit me as we walked in to a very attractive Manor house. Greeted by a rather posh jolly chap "Hello I am Richard" let me show you to your... More

This beautiful place is like visiting someone's home...and you really are! The grounds are beautiful, set in the middle of a bucolic countryside. The house is well appointed and charming and the rooms are large and very comfortable. The sheets smell divine and are pressed. The restaurant is also very good. The venison was absolutely divine and the desserts almost... More

Plumber Manor is my family's restaurant of choice for special occasions in the area. We've never been disappointed - which is not always the case with high end restaurants. Yes, it's slightly old fashioned but that's part of its charm! The sweet trolley still makes me smile when it appears - it really is like going back in time but... More

Evening meal for two. The hotel is set in gorgeous gardens, lawn well manicured, flowers in bloom and mature trees and shrubs, even a bridge across stream, idyllic. The hotel is an old Manor House, in good repair and from walking through the front door, very homely and welcoming. The reception area, bar and restruant area was of the standard... More
