Very attractive, cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean bedrooms. The farmhouse is nicely decorated with Lee's wooden work (Very Creative Wooden Work). Run by Wendy and Lee, who provided a friendly and a warm welcome, very welcoming. I stayed with them for almost three weeks working in the area. After work, I really looked forward going back to have a nice... More

Whether you're on a business trip or looking for a relaxing break in Dorset, I suggest you take advantage of this comfortable and friendly farmhouse. I've now stayed several times and will continue to do so as long as my business takes me to Dorset. The rooms are more than comfortable and small touches such as the fruit, chocolate biscuits... My daughter and I were warmly welcomed by Wendy into her gorgeous home and shown our room. It was pristine, warm and cosy and we settled in very quickly. Wendy's delicious poached eggs set us up for a day out and we looked forward to our return to chill and relax. Excellent hot shower in a gorgeous bathroom and good... More

We stayed with Wendy and Lee the week before this after reviewing a few places in the area. The glowing reviews here helped fix our choice. Having now stayed we can see why these were deserved. Wendy provided a warm welcome, the house was very warm and comfortable on a cold December day. The room had everything we could have... More

We were made to feel very welcome in a lovely home. An extremely well run b&b in a great setting. Both the room and private bathroom were immaculate. Not a plastic pot of dreadful uht to be seen anywhere! Why stay in an over-priced tired hotel when you can stay somewhere this good? Brilliant.

Both Wendy and Lee Dickenson made us so welcome in their beautiful home. Nothing was to much trouble conversation was warm and sincere. Accommodation is tastefully furnished and so comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Also Lee's wood sculptures are on show throughout the premises inside and out and are truly stunning We had a wonderful five days stay recently... More

Wendy Dickinson gives you a very warm and friendly welcome. Attractive and comfortable bedrooms with very large beds and a good breakfast in their charming relaxed large country house. Check out the very interesting wooden carvings around the garden made by Wendy's husband. A great place to enjoy the Somerset and Dorset countryside.

Very nice setting with a friendly welcome. The owners were very obliging. We will definitely go again - both because we really liked it and as an added benefit, the stoneground flour from nearby Sturminster-Newton Mill makes lovely bread! Charming walks nearby, a folder full of interesting places to visit. Convenient for Plush Music Festival. Lee is a very talented... More

It was a privilege to stay in Wendy and Lee's wonderful rural hideaway for a week. Everything was just right, from the doorstep welcome from them both, to the beautiful room and delicious breakfasts. Wendy was very flexible with our slightly unusual comings and goings (we were attending a summer school in Sturminster Newton) and the peace and tranquillity meant... More

Wendy and Lee have created a rural idyll in their beautiful home in the rolling Dorset countryside, surrounded by farmland, ancient villages, hedgerows and quiet lanes. The bedrooms are beautifully and simply decorated, and bathroom spacious and spotlessly clean, while every aspect looks out onto original, interesting garden features including Lee's wooden sculptures and the green countryside beyond. Breakfasts are... More
