A delightful B & B. Wonderful location and extremely comfortable accommodation. Wendy and Lee are welcoming, helpful and friendly hosts. The light-filled double en-suite room must be the biggest I have ever stayed in, with such a comfortable bed and excellent facilities - huge bathroom, sofa, TV etc. Lovely breakfast served in the conservatory. Dorset is a beautiful county with... More

We were looking for an exceptional place to stay, close to Sturminster Newton, but quiet and secluded in the Dorset countryside. Gorse Farm House was the answer to our dreams, with the added bonus of two wonderful hosts. Our family stayed in both rooms, both really confortable with excellent bedding, tastefully decorated with an eye for detail catering to all... More

My wife and I have been staying at Gorse Farm House for several years now and think it’s super mid-Dorset place to stay, in striking distance of many different locations including a number of Nation Trust properties. It’s about a five-minute drive out of Sturminster Newton down a small country lane. Once inside the property gates, the final approach to... More

Excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely spacious room with a very comfortable bed. A splendid location ideal for touring. A jolly nice breakfast with scrambled egg to die for. Would stay again

As a business man to find a place to unwind after a long journey or after a hectic work schedule is a rarity. Yet here is such a place. It started with a welcome greeting from the host Wendy and her husband Lee to their home. After a quick chat I was shown to my stunning room which would have... More

Lovely welcome to an interesting farmhouse out in the country away from the towns. Comfortable, peaceful and restful. Lovely hosts who were accommodating to our needs. Great value. Hope to return with friends.

We had a lovely 2 night stop here. The room was just so comfy and nothing was too much trouble for Wendy and Lee who are excellent hosts- but also, not too "in your face". Breakfast on both mornings for first class. The house is lovely and quiet. We will definitely return.

We had come to Dorset for a family christening locally and needed somewhere to stay. This was perfect. The room was lovely; very tastefully decorated and with a large, comfy bed. The bathroom had a super old fashioned bath in it although using the shower wasn't that easy as there wasn't anywhere to hang it so you had to use... More

We were dining at Plumber Manor and chose Gorse Farm because of its proximity. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and the warm welcome. Although dinner had well and truly filled us, we still enojyed the generous and well-presented breakfast.

While hiking in Dorset, a friend and I decided to stay at this wonderful B&B tucked among the hills. I had the on suite room and I have to say the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The whole place is exceptionally looked after and the bathroom is large and very clean. Wendy and Lee... More
