This used to be a traditional English country pub. We returned for the first time in around 15 years to find this place has turned into an unfriendly, touristy restaurant. Firstly, you can't just walk in and sit at a table. you have to wait to be seated. They told us there were no tables available, even though I could... More

We have never stayed in a pub so busy and vibrant, brilliant location and lovely room. Staff were exceptional, Manager very friendly ( Mike ), although under pressure by running out of certain stock could not of been more friendlier. Karen the waitress plus one our room cleaners was lovely. We did the walk from Smugglers to Lulworth Cove, it... More

We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very nice. The decor is old fashioned -- the only thing missing is the soot on the ceiling and beams! The food is what I'd call contemporary English, with a nice selection of seafood and vegetarian options as well as more traditional meat dishes. I was really impressed with the service -... More

I have eaten lunch here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. So when my parents and I booked to go for evening meal (the second time as the first time they were booked up) I was expecting high standards. The customer service was friendly, food was served quickly (no chance of it getting cold) and the... More

A beautiful setting , a prime location set on the Jurassic coast but this company manage to ruin it by serving bad food . They can't get it right. They have some of the best localations in Dorset and surrounding counties, but they all have the same boring menue and none of their chefs can cook good basic food !... More

A large group of us visited for dinner. I called but was unable to book as there were 24 of us. We arrived at 6pm as we were told it would be quieter. There were tables free but were were told we couldn't sit there as were were a big group. We braved it outside with the wasps and flies... More

Spent a lovely lunchtime at the Smugglers inn, tucked away in Osmington Mills in Dorset. The food & service were excellent. The Staff were very helpful & polite. Special mention has to go to Ash Hill, who greeted me when I walked into the pub. He shown me to a table, took my order & had my drink on the... More

Picturesque location, fantastic staff and delicious food. Could not ask for more! Had the whitebait and half pint of prawn for starters which was wonderful and the Tuscan chicken and ham hock pie for main course. Could not have been better. :)

Dear Guest, I am so sorry that you were disappointed with your visit to us. If you had let us know at the time we would have changed or replaced the meal straight away for you. We get very busy in August so we are constantly cooking the biggest sellers so sometimes they do go out quite quickly we have... More

My wife and I stayed here last week; using it as our based for walking and touring the local Dorset attraction. We hade a truely wonderful stay on a B&B basis. The room was a well furnished, very comfortable, en suite double. Breakfast was an absolute feast and the couple of evening meals we had were excellent quality and value... More
