Cosy room , clean well equipped. Good pub food, very friendly staff. Dog made welcome. Great location easy access to coast paths and rocky beach even if the rain stopped us walking far this time. Convenient for Weymouth and Jurassic coast

My husband and I stopped at this delightful Inn for a light lunch. The setting is absolutely beautiful with spectacular views of the sea, but oh dear, the lunch we had was really awful. I ordered the vegetable and chicken soup with a crusty roll. To me, it tasted as though yesterday's chicken soup had been mixed with the day... More

Situated in a lovely setting, and overall a pleasant stay, but the Chef that cooks the lovely breakfast cannot be the one that cooks the evening meals, it was very disappointing, tasteless and bland, and it was just a straight forward Ham, Egg, and chips, no I did not complain at the time, I never let my food go back... This spot is fantastic with superb views of Weymouth Bay with Portland centre stage. The atmosphere inside is cosy country pub. There is lots of outdoor eating space well laid out. Menu extensive so you will always find something you fancy. You will not be disappointed well worth making a special trip for.

I have stayed here a couple of times..both of which have been lovely. My first visit I actually won a nights stay here at a Christmas fair which I used on Valentine's night, both my partner and I love the quirky ness of the room and enjoyed our 3 course meal by the open fire. My second stay was a... More

I met my friend here for drink one evening, back in October. The Smugglers is an old proper country style pub, with low beams old fireplaces and lots of character. Situated right next to the sea and on the South West Coastal path. When I visited there was a good selection of real ales, wine and spirits. The dining area... More

Where to begin? Before I start I would like to make it clear I am not the type to complain without reason, or to look for fault, I am fairly easy going, and just thought a weekend away in a ‘well reviewed’ idyllic spot by the Jurassic coast, might be quite pleasant. However, our experience at this pub was so... More

Despite arriving in a non stop gale which meant that we could not enjoy the coastal walk, we enjoyed our stay at this pub. Staff are very welcoming and clearly enjoy four legged guests which puts you at ease. The double room was quite small but comfortable. Food was not ambitious but good quality and excellent value. Breakfast was excellent... More

Popped in Friday, fish and chips were a joy but menu was a bit limited in regards to choice. My wife's ploughmans was nice also- we go quite often and will continue to do so as staff are always polite and welcoming
