I spent one night at the Portland Lodge Hotel for a business trip in Weymouth, where I usually stay and after that visit will continue to stay. The services, rooms are very basic and expensive for what you pay. The breakfast was fine, but I don't eat that much. There's very little to see or do in the neighbouring towns,... More

On the plus side we had a very friendly receptionist who explained everything for us even the nearby restaurants which was nice. Also there was a very friendly lady in the morning at the breakfast who was just simply amazing, the breakfast was actually not too bad so its all okay in food wise. On the other side as previosly... Stayed 1 night here with partner and 4 year old son -cost £87. Definitely overpriced. The 'hotel' is very basic; don't expect to be greeted at reception or have a hairdryer in your room! Our room was ok - tired but as clean as it could be. No light cover over the bathroom light though! In its favour - bedding... More

Having made a reservation for a one night stay for March 10th my husband I arrived at 4.10pm to find all doors locked and the whole place deserted. On the door was a printed notice saying checking in was between 2pm and 9pm and if on arrival reception was closed to ring the bell or phone. We phoned the telephone... More

Good prices.Just spent five months at Portland lodge and would not what to stay any where else. The room was very clean,The bedding was changed regularly. The breakfasts are good, If some thing was not on the menu Dawn would try to give you some thing else if possible. The staff are very helpful. If you need to stay on the Isle of Portland you are limited if you do not wish to pay over the top. The Lodge is a winner there, but you get what you pay fore. The rooms are clean but the walls are thin. If you get a front room you may as well lay on the road. There... More

The room was basic and staff were terrible especially at breakfast. Had to enter a small room in where a man was sat behind a desk smoking which I deduced was reception. Admittedly he showed me to my room but did not offer to open door for me despite being laden with bags. The breakfast staff we plain rude. Do... More

we have just stayed here for 2 nights, the room was clean and check in painless. Breakfast was ok. Free wifi didn't work in our bit of the hotel which was disappointing but as it was the weekend it could not be sorted.

I stayed here for one night with my husband and 5 month old baby. We arrived at around 6pm, there was ample parking, no problems checking in and we were shown to our room. The room was small and basic but clean and comfortable, we had requested a cot which was set up ready for us to use. Nice big... More

Personally shown to our room which was clean, comfortable bed, slept really well, shower was excellent, enough room in cubicle and i am 100 kgs (16 stone!), water pressure and temperature perfect, one of the best i have had. Bedside light did not work, no big problem. Funny sweet smell in corridors but you only walk through so no problem.... More
