Very disappointed. Obviously the price reflects the location- just down the road from the Heights hotel and viewpoint over Chesil beach. This however, is not a hotel. There is no lounge or bar, and it feels more like a youth hostel which has been done up as a bed and breakfast. The first room we were shown was dark damp... More

The room smelt of filth and damp, the soft furnishings were all marked and dirty, the bed valance had some unidentifiable substance on it. The curtains had water marks on them. The edges of the carpets clearly hadnt been hoovered for quite some time, and every corner was a graveyard of dead creatures. There were cobwebs off every high surface,... More

Easy to get to location, very convenient petrol station next door for the journey back. Lots of car parking facilities. Nice full English breakfast with plenty of choice and vegetarian options too. Cosy room with a little shower ensuite and ample tea and coffee provided with a kettle. All very clean and comfortable, even though the weather outside was horrible... More

We found it a friendly hotel, reasonably priced, good breakfast which was included in the price and nice walks to the heights with great views, also bus stop a stroll away if you don't want to drive back into Weymouth. Its great for a couple of days, but does need some refurbishment so a week long holiday there might not... More

The hotel is a drab grey 1970's build and it does not appear that it has been refurbished since then. A little grubby inside but at £73 for a double room on a Saturday night in early September with breakfast included was ok for value for money. Bathroom was fine and the bed linen clean but the room we stayed... More

Old, run down and not clean - smell of damp everywhere. Totally over priced for what is on offer and would avoid like the plague - overnight in your car could be a better option. Stayed a few years ago and whilst not the Ritz was value for money back then albeit basic.

We were met by a very rude lady,no words of welcome but straight into asking for payment as soon as we walked into the most awful reception i've ever been in - It was dirty, shabby and it smelt.Their website make it out to be an advantage to be able to make a payment during your stay, not at the time of... My husband & I stayed for one night (11.7.15) in a disability room. Booked at short notice to visit Dorset Seafood Festival so ease of parking was a major factor. The room although basic was clean but functional. Hubby has severe arthritis so space to move around we thought very limited. If a wheelchair was required this would be extremely... More

If your looking for a clean and tidy place to stay with friendly staff then its fine but its very basic and the décor is pretty tired. The chap at reception was very friendly and helpful, the room although basic was very clean and tidy and the breakfast was fine for the price.
