We stayed at Seventyseven on Portland for the night after visiting relatives, I could have stayed there for much longer, Spotlessly clean rooms rooms. Jo was a great host and the breakfast was out of this world,

"Hello, welcome ~ come on in: would you like a glass of wine?" We knew we were in for a great stay from the minute we arrived! Mark & Jo are really friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. We had a great room ~ quiet, very comfortable, and the bed is exceptional (Jane always has trouble with... More

There were so many wonderful things, the view over the houses to the sea in the morning, the crisp clean sheets, the amazing breakfast, the great weather and the friendly owner. It was an amazing experience and it really made us want to come back

I spent 4 pleasant nights in this attractive b&b. The building is owned and run by artists so there is some interesting and intriguing art on the walls. My room was large with comfy bed, tv and lots of tea and coffee. The adjoining en suite had a bath, shower and hand shower. The view from my window looked out... More

The room was a good size, clean, great shower, great breakfast and gorgeous menu in the downstairs cafe. Lovely owners. Involved with local community too - they even have their own choir!! Excellent, look forward to going back soon.

Bed & breakfast & beach! The place is great and run by the most helpful and lovely couple. Rooms are tastefully furnished, comfy bed, good size bathroom and breakfast is a delight (fruit salad to kill for). Location is great, just minutes to the beach, near bus stops and near good walking tracks.

Returning for our second stay whilst competing in a regatta, this bnb is a hidden gem. Jo & Mark are so welcoming, the house is spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated. Breakfast is a treat full English or just egg on toast & to fit in with your plans. Portland has a great bus service & some stunning beaches. Love it... More

Just returned from a three day stay with Jo and Mark on our first visit to Portland. The owners could not be more welcoming, and showed us to our room which was at the very top of the property. The room was flooded with light and very airy. Very comfortable bed, and the windows had effective blinds which shut out... More

I'm not often moved to write up a glowing review of a B&B or hotel, but I actually feel it would be quite unfair not to on this occasion. A really nicely, calmly decorated, well appointed and (what is incredibly rare in British B&Bs) amazingly well designed room, with huge amounts of space and great views. Although on the top... More

Jo and Mark couldn't have made me feel more welcome, taking me to the pub quiz on my first night and then asking me to join them for dinner on my second. They are full of information, and gave me some great advice to help my planned move to Portland. The B&B is a magical labyrinth of rooms and stairs... More
