Great value for money. I was greeted by such a friendly man called Roy, he was authentic in his welcome and love of the area. then he just left us to get on with our stay and didn't fuss. I was on a walking holiday so a bright fresh room, with hot shower and plenty of space was what I... More

What a gem of a place to stay! Spotlessly clean, ample room and shelves for everything, fully stocked up tea, coffee plus biscuits etc. Super bathroom and shower. Lovely warm radiator which was definitely a plus. Roy could not have been more helpful, along with Mandy when having our breakfast who was so friendly too. Oh yes, scrummy breakie, especially... Top stay at a great b&b in a fantastic location. Plus a Fab breakfast to set you up to visit the famous Chisel Beach which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Beach House. Roy could not have been more helpful. What more could you ask!

Had a lovely stay at the beach house, many thanks to our wonderful host Roy! Nothing was too much. Perfect Location for a stroll on the beach, great breakfast and comfy rooms. What more can you ask for, superb value for money. Be back soon!

Stayed for 1 night on New Years Eve(function at the sailing academy & the b&b was in walking distance. It was obvious we were the only guests as the house was very cold. Our room had a radiator under the window, but judging from the room temperature had not been on for long. The en suite had an electric heater... More

Another very disappointing review after falling over backwards for the guest. I wish guests would report problems during there stay. There is a hot water bottle supplied which is located in the top draw. The heater in the bath room does work but requires the isolator switch to be switched which if you had taken time to ask both these... More

I had a great week fishing, ideal B&B, Roy the manager had good knowledge of the area and was always helpfull. Room was cleaned and re-stocked each day and very clean, breakfast set me up for the day, pubs in the area also served good food. All in all a great week away.

Many thanks for your positive feed back. It's nice to know that we are doing something right and get a guest that appreciates they are staying in a Bed and Breakfast. More

Disappointing - should be called the Road House. Noisy traffic right next to the window, and minimal parking. Friendly host. Wont go back. At least it is relatively cheap and the room was nice had it been elsewhere.

Thank you for your review. We are located on a road, the rooms are priced accordingly. If you book a room that is called our 'Budget Room' then you get what you pay for. We do have quiet rooms which are priced slightly higher. More

Having read reviews on Trip advisor we were a bit surprised when we arrived. We stayed at the Beach House Hotel on Portland. Really odd place. There seemed to be no resident owner. When we got there we found a note on the door telling us to go three doors down and the lady there would show us our room.... More

Thank you your review. I have taken on board your comments. After a very busy year I was out for one night, dinner on my fathers 80th Birthday. The dust under the bed has been rectified and the cleaner reprimanded. I would like to point out that the 'Complimentary' tea and coffee facility is a complimentary service. More

Lovely reception when walking very welcomed, room was basic but very nice, good selection for breakfast, only downside was you could hear the room next to us go to the toilet, and it would of been nice to have a lampshade for each side of the bed to read.
