Doing the Christmas rounds of wreath laying at family graves, we needed to find a stopping off place for lunch. By chance we had heard good reviews of The Kings Arm. Arriving right on opening time, we were fortunate to have the last table for two that was not booked. Groups of People were arriving all the time, the staff... More

This pub had been recommended to us for Sunday lunch whilst staying in the local area. What a find. The portions are massive, I didn't even manage a pudding but our son did! We had the choice of turkey, chicken, lamb, beef or a slice of each. The vegetables were fresh and beautifully cooked and my son said the stuffing... More

Lovely food and plentiful and the carvery is really delicious, BIG portions and you don't leave hungry unlike some carveries who offer tiny portions. Will be back and will be bringing friends this time.

I went with my aged Uncle who eats there quite often on Sunday evenings. He had raved about the carvery, so I was expecting big things; and I wasn't disappointed. I had some beautiful roast beef with a good selection of vegetables, all cooked to perfection. The 'haggis stuffing' was a sublime touch.I look forward to eating there again soon.

We ate here twice during our holiday in Dorset last week. On Sundays they serve a carvery which looked great and a range of other pub food. During the week there is a longer menu to choose from. The food was lovely - large portions and very tasty. The puddings are huge! On both occasions it was busy and there... More

Eaten here many times now. The menu has a Scottish twist - haggis keeps popping up here and there. Extensive choice and all freshly cooked on premises. As well as the main menu there's a list of smaller plates for £6 and a chef's £7 board that's always worth a look. A daily specials board is also on show with... More

Whether you have a Sunday carvery or a normal lunch time / evening meal you will find the food is excellent ( especially the Haggis ) very good service and always a friendly greeting. There is a large garden to the rear of the Pub, so ideal to take your dog, however, should the weather be against you, your pet... More

What a superb find, excelllent accommodation at a fair price in todays market , very attentive staff with any personal requirements carried out without fuss. The food offer was wide and varied and again my personal menu changes were accommodated without that dreadfull word ,"the computer said No", . At last a place if you ask you do get and... More
