Recently stayed at the Scott Arms for three nights in the room called Swyre Head, named after a local beauty spot. The generously proportioned bedroom was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. The bathroom likewise. The pub itself is a wonderful old place with bags of character and, of course, that wonderful view. The breakfast and evening meals we had were... More

Visited bank holiday sunday, very busy, short wait to order as computer link broken to kitchen, nevertheless, food arrived promptly, quality of food very good and well presented. Excellent pint of perry to accompany food taken in the garden with views to Corfe Castle and beyond.

We went here bank holiday Sunday and it was just chaos .. Very over priced just average food .. For the price .. Staff very stressed and made worse by a lady manager that little if no customer service .. Argued with staff in front of customers and was very rude to customers when they had waited for thirty food... More

Lovely small country pub with a couple of quaint rooms. Booked here at short notice on our way along the south coast. What a lovely find which came recommended by family for its lovely food. The views over Corfe Castle and surrounding hills are beautifully English. We stayed one night, had an evening meal and breakfast. The food was delicious... More

My partner & I sat in the garden with great views of Corfe Castle. All down hill from there with the food & service. I ordered the cauliflower soup which was as thin as dishwater and tasteless. My partner had fish & chips - chips tasted old & refried. We paid for the meal in advance and they served the... More

First impressions, beautiful pub, beautiful location! The views of corfe castle and surrounding areas are amazing. Unfortunately, it was down hill from there. There was no heating. So had to eat dinner in our coats and were still cold! We asked for the heating on but it never happened. Dinner was of a good size but unfortunately minimal veg, slightly... More

How difficult can it be to staff up for a bank holiday monday lunchtime; man the bar with more than 2 people,, get that kitchen pre-making baguettes and other easy stuff, dont run out of signature jerk chicken etc etc. Inside was empty apart from the snaking, but orderly queue for the bar, why not get the serving staff to... Haven't been here for many years as have heard mixed reviews but glad we decided to try again. Atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered a sharing platter to start which was a perfect size and very tasty. My classic 'Scott' burger was very tasty and very filling. My wife had the shallot tarte tatin... More

Stayed in both rooms for an overnight stay with friends. Room was good albeit quite expensive for what you are getting. The bar and restaurant were clean and good range of beer and cider. The restaurant is well laid out and staff were not very well trained (seemed very rushed) but attentive. The food was the biggest let down of... More

We were staying nearby and loved this pub on our visit to Corfe Castle a year before. We came back! The pub is just excellent. Typical traditional English pub style but immaculately kept clean and inviting. Good range of bitters and ciders. Amazingly good wholesome food. You must try the Steak with Pepper sauce, we had this twice..... but if... More
