Service chronically slow, even though loads of staff standing around. Adult food OK,, children's portions minute...2 chicken goujons & 8 chips for £6, had to stop at supermarket & buy more food because kids were still hungry....disappointing!

Took the family to the scotts arms , i had the stuffed mushrooms for a starter , i was a little disappointed to find that i only had ONE flat mushroom with a little blue cheese and salad for a rediculous price of £6.50!.I then ordered the black and gold steak med/rare , which turned up well done , if... A group of us ordered lunch early at 12 noon when they start serving food, the pub was not at all busy. It took ages for those who ordered coffee to be served. All the sandwiches and the ploughman's were excellent, large portions served promptly. However, one person ordered the soup of the day and after a wait of nearly... More

I always aim to be fair with my reviews - and am more than happy to praise probably more often than I can be bothered to to be critical ... But tonight I am actually angry that I came away having paid them any money at all . The service was beyond poor . It was actually non existant. We... More

The B&B rooms are really lovely, great breakfast, lovely staff. It was a shame that the daily specials in the restaurant were all fish and didn't appear to change each day so if you're there for a few days and not a fish eater it was a bit disappointing. The upper and lower bars are nice and the garden is... More

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is actually quite good and the location is stunning, but the inside of the pub lacks any warmth and atmosphere. With visiting friends, we wanted somewhere to take them for a drive out and lunch. As the day was reasonably warm and sunny, we thought of the stunning view from the... More

We had lunch with friends at this interesting old pub. Old beams, stripped stone, bare boards and log fires in winter. Interesting menu with specials each day. Good local food and fresh fish, well presented. Good wines, dogs welcome. Big garden with plenty of tables and stunning views of Corfe Castle and the Purbeck Hills.

My friends and I were staying near by hotel and decided to have a meal in the pub. It's welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. Great menu, food is locally sourced and it is delicious but very big portions, couldn't try the desert. Good selection of drinks. Would recommend to try.

Arrived for a drink after being at Studland bay beaches for day, for a drink and dinner. After the first drink we decided to enquire about room vacancies. The staff were very friendly and assisting gave us a great rate for the night, we were shown our room straight away without payment being insisted up front. The room was beautiful... More

Called in for a pint ,with family-my daughter and husband have been here often.A great beer garden ,as many reviewers say ,with good distant views towards Corfe Castle & sea.Decided to have a bite-so went for the crab sandwichs ,they were ace! Well worth a visit ,though I imagine villagers get fed up as car park quite small & popularity... More
