We popped in here with friends late last Saturday afternoon after day out for a quick pint - first time ever visit. Sensational location with lovely gardens overlooking Corfe Castle, in distance. \in the late afternoon Spring light the castle was truly magical! Superb interior with excellent beers (and by the looks of it) - guests were Doom Bar and... More

We have reviewed the Scott Arms before but this time we were staying in the smaller of the two rooms....... Small it was not and possiby quieter than the larger bedroom! We had a Friday and Saturday to remind ourselves why we go back and why we will....go back again! The management team were once again in fine form and... More

Was staying in a cottage in Kingston and ate here a couple of times. The food was super and one member of staff in patricular, Kathy, was so cheerful and freidnly she added to our enjoyment. Sensibly the pub doesnt have a huge range of dishes, plenty to choose from whilst being able to concentrate of getting them all right... More

We went to the Scott Arms for a meal with my parents and had a wonderful evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming while the menu offered a large choice for meat eaters (us) and vegetarians (my parents). We didn't have starters but the deserts were perfect - absolutely delicious and a good portion size. The only criticism would... More

My partner booked a three night break here for an early valentines treat. We arrived on the Friday, which was very wet and cold. Our room was freezing cold, which wasn't a great welcome,.The guy who showed us to the room was pretty clueless about the heating system and had to contact the manager. As the room was so cold we had to wait in... We went there for lunch on a dismal Monday, when much of the surrounding lower countryside was still flooded, but the pub was gratifying full, with real fires making it seem warm and welcoming. Wide choice of mains, including end of season pheasant. The most enjoyed were splendid sausages with mash, the least a goat's cheese salad, where the cheese... More

I have dined at The Scott many times over the years and am happy to report that it is as good as it has ever been. The location is stunning and the old place has had a few make-overs through the years but still retains a traditional charm. We had a lovely meal, well presented and the service was efficient... We went here last weekend and had a lovely lunch with nice staff and a warm welcome for our dog. The only downside was that it was quite pricey but I guess that's what you pay for quality food and amazing views! Definitely one to visit if you're in the area.

We visited on several occasions while staying in a gorgeous holiday cottage just up the road over may half term with our two children 6 and 3.5. The pub was popular though not overly crowded, most guests were outside. I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful considering how busy they were, ordering our food at the bar did... More

The Scott Arms is a treat...lots of atmosphere and lovely views. The food is excellent and though busy (it usually is), service was prompt and friendly. It is not cheap but the quality is worth it. I would imagine booking is needed at peak times, but even when full, the hidden corners and spaces allow for a degree of intimacy... More
