We visited Knaveswell for a week in the 2nd week of August 2014. We were a family of 5. 12/13 year old twin (boy/girl) and an 11 year old. We had a fantastic holiday despite initial concerns as to how we would cope without electricity, hot water etc. The location of Knaveswell Farm is excellent providing ready access to wonderful... We stayed here 2 nights. We found it a fantastic location near Corfe castle and the seaside at Swanage. The tents are lovely and cosy. They give you some wood and fire lighters for the stove. The farm shop has essentials like milk, butter eggs and bacon. It's a working farm so our little girl loved seeing the cows, pigs,... More

My husband and I just got back from a long weekend here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and It was absolute bliss! We loved everything about the farm. We had an extremely friendly warm welcome on arrival and the tent (if you can call such a beautiful set up a tent) was rustic, quirky, warm and fabulously arranged. We... More

We had a fantastic stay in early July. The owners were extremely friendly and even supplied us with fresh milk from the cows when we'd run out on our last day. It's a great place to stay with young children and there are plenty of fantastic places to visit nearby including Corfe Castle and Swanage.

Our first time with feather down and we couldn't have chosen a better farm! The whole "camping" experience is perfect for those of us that love the whole thing of being self sufficient but need a helping hand nowadays with a touch of an easy life. Paul and Jo are amazing hosts and have opened up their farm so willingly,... More

We are just back from our 3rd visit to Knaveswell Farm. Another fantastic holiday! Our children played from early-ish morning and then till dusk in the field with all the children from the other tents making it an extra special experience. The freedom to play, explore and meet other children and animals was just wonderful. Our neighbours in the other... More

We had a great few days here just after easter. The kids loved feeding the lambs and cows and waited eagerly by the chickens each morning and we were always rewarded with fresh eggs. The farm is brilliantly located near Corfe castle and other Dorset delights, with great beaches. The field we were in was really nicely sheltered and the... More

We went at the last minute for a weekend break at the end of the summer. Its a nice idea, much more comfortable than normal camping and great for kids (although our 1 year old was probably a bit too young to appreciate it), and it was great looking up at the stars at night and then waking up in... Kids loved it. Jo and Paul v welcoming and inviting to get hands on with feeding etc, watching the milking. I think this is one of the original farms, and it's quite a different experience from some of the other Feather Downs that we've been to 'buy in' the animals to entertain the kids... Real is good, especially when talking... More

Just returned from a short week on Featherdown Farms, Knaveswell Farm. Hosts Paul & Jo such lovely people, very welcoming and keen for the children to join in feeding the calves & lambs. My daughter loved the Shetland ponies, grooming them and walking them. We were in a 6 tented field with little room between ours & the next tent... More
