I went with my husband and a friend for a cream tea and it was beautiful. Scones lovely, fresh and warm. Jam and cream were tasty. Will go again before the end of the season hopefully as we are local.

My friends took me to the Bay Tree for a cream tea. It was absolutely delicious and I would recommend it to anyone, freshly baked fruit scones, tasty jam and of course clotted cream! Put the jam on scone first, of course. I also had the homemade lemonade rather than a cup of tea ... Really refreshing.

Dorset proved to be a lovely location for our short holiday and was only improved in staying with Sally and Gerry, who were excellent hosts. The Bed and Breakfast itself was located in a tranquil spot, and a good night's sleep was easily had, with a great breakfast served in the morning. We have promised ourselves that we will go back... A lovely place that it is really worth driving the extra miles to get to. It is open seasonally, so you'll need to plan your trip in advance. It is great for families and you can even bring your dog along! The gardens are beautiful and the freshly baked cakes and scones are divine. We always look forward to coming... More

Impromptu stop for a late lunch. Went for a crab sandwich... wow, you forget how delicious simple things like this can be when they are done properly with great produce! Everything is locally sourced and homemade. Others had a range of cheese and ham toasties, with some super tasty chutney. We made room for cream teas after and did not... More

Actually we only stopped as one of us urgently needed the loo, however the favour we were given deserved one in return, hence the review. We will come back here one day to try a cream tea, but what struck us most was the lovely quiet garden with ample space. A real oasis of tranquility. Thanks for being there for... More

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay here. Very friendly and welcoming and lovely breakfast!! The owners were really helpful and answered all of our questions about the local area. Just a stroll away from the beach too!!

We enjoyed this lovely tea garden, there is also a conservatory, the only downside being the noise of passing traffic. The cream tea and crab sandwich were both first class and the service friendly and efficient. Open Easter until the end of September, 2-5.30 Tuesday - Saturday and 2-5 on Sundays, dogs on leads are welcome. They also offer bed... More

We arrived after a day's walking which was longer than planned due to rerouting of the South Coast Path. 17 miles and 8 hrs in 27 deg temperatures. Feeling and looking like creatures from the underworld we found a very warm welcome and an offer of chilled ginger beer. Magic! The garden is magnificent and despite being on the main... More

We have been to this place before and enjoyed it. We aimed to stop here but it did not open until 2.00. We have never come across a place that opens at 2.00. The times seem not suitable for customers. Shame as enjoyed before.
