We have been coming to the Bay Tree House in Chideock for cream teas for some years, a walk from Burton Bradstock to Seatown along the coast and a short trek up to Chideock is the prefect preparation for Sally's wonderful cream teas. Although it is not far from where we live, I thought it would be perfect to also... More

Sally and Jerry are the most wonderful hosts at this cute Tea Room and B&B. We stayed in the cottage on site and had a wonderful week exploring the Jurassic Coast & surrounding countryside. HIGHLY recommend this to a family looking for a cosy bolthole. Great facilities and incredible hosts make for a memorable holiday.

We stayed here for a week for our wedding in Lyme Regis in September 2014. What an amazing place, we were spoilt rotten by our hosts Jerry and Sally. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was top notch! WiFi was included at no extra cost. The breakfasts were superb every time, and the handmade scones with jam and cream... More

We booked a table due to the fact there were 7 of us, we took along our older children and twins aged 6. We received a very warm and friendly welcome and felt very comfortable taking the children with us. We had toasted sandwiches on thick fresh farmhouse bread with generous fillings and then thought it would be rude not... More

I went with my husband and a friend for a cream tea and it was beautiful. Scones lovely, fresh and warm. Jam and cream were tasty. Will go again before the end of the season hopefully as we are local.

My friends took me to the Bay Tree for a cream tea. It was absolutely delicious and I would recommend it to anyone, freshly baked fruit scones, tasty jam and of course clotted cream! Put the jam on scone first, of course. I also had the homemade lemonade rather than a cup of tea ... Really refreshing.

Dorset proved to be a lovely location for our short holiday and was only improved in staying with Sally and Gerry, who were excellent hosts. The Bed and Breakfast itself was located in a tranquil spot, and a good night's sleep was easily had, with a great breakfast served in the morning. We have promised ourselves that we will go back... A lovely place that it is really worth driving the extra miles to get to. It is open seasonally, so you'll need to plan your trip in advance. It is great for families and you can even bring your dog along! The gardens are beautiful and the freshly baked cakes and scones are divine. We always look forward to coming... More

Impromptu stop for a late lunch. Went for a crab sandwich... wow, you forget how delicious simple things like this can be when they are done properly with great produce! Everything is locally sourced and homemade. Others had a range of cheese and ham toasties, with some super tasty chutney. We made room for cream teas after and did not... More
