This is Sue and Micks house and they share it with their guests, of which there are many. We arrived late in the afternoon, introductions done and the usual safety talk given we settled for a rest before going out for the evening. The rooms are quite small but very cosy and well equipped. The bed is a comfort zone, you... More

This is our second stay at Rose Cottage this year, and again we had a great time-as always Sue and Mick were wonderful hosts and the room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast on both mornings was great-really sets you up for a day ahead out and about in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Blessed with great weather too-all in all another... More

On arrival you will be greeted with a wonderfully warm welcome. The rooms are cosy and very clean, with the exception of the thin curtains I can find nothing even remotely bad to say. That said, the curtains had us up in time for breakfast which is a bonus on a beautiful day by the coast. Breakfast was lovely and... More

Thanks Mitch for your kind review. Very pleased you both enjoyed your weekend stay at Rose Cottage . We certainly enjoyed having you and hope you will come back again. We take note of the curtain issue and will address the problem by maybe introducing blackout blinds so guests have the choice to block the morning sun out if they... More

Myself and my partner stayed here for the bank holiday weekend as a base for our first River Cottage experience, Sue and Mick are wonderful hosts, friendly and considerate. Rooms are beautiful, the website doesn't do them enough justice! Beds are so comfortable you will struggle to get up for breakfast! Ensuite is very very clean and the shower was... More

Sue and Mick are excellent hosts and as always the room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Lovely cooked breakfast each morning set us up for a good day ahead. I was hiking the S.W Coast path and stayed one night. This is a charming period home with sensitive remodel to maintain the style but all conveniences. There are only two rooms and they mine was quiet and comfortable. The George Inn, 100 yards away is a great pub with excellent food, hard to match for convenience. My stay was finished... More

My husband and I plus an old friend stayed here for three nights in August. We loved it - the spotless rooms and shower rooms, comfortable beds, delicious cooked breakfasts and the warmth of the hosts. Tea was served on our arrival on the guests' patio, from which we later walked to a seaside pub in 15 minutes. Mick's directions... More

A beautiful cottage and garden. My room (twin at the front) was spacious, clean and well equipped. Walking the South West Coast Path as I was, this is a very welcome B&B, as accommodation is very scarce along this stretch of coast. About 10-15 mins walk from the coast at Seatown. Breakfast was very good. Personally, I prefer not to... More

This was our third visit to Rose Cottage over a number of years and the welcome was as warm as ever - upon arrival following a long drive we were given tea and biscuits in the sunny back garden. Hosts were great, nothing was too much trouble, they like to know our breakfast order the night before & were accommodating to our request. Lovely Garden area to the rear of property. Breakfast was spot on & piping hot! Nice touch of the toiletries & bottle of water in room. Thank you Mick & Sue
