We stayed in the Hensleigh at the end of May with our son in the family room and then went back as a couple in June. Nothing particularly amazing about the Hensligh but perfectly functional for a short stay in Lyme Bay. Easy walk to beach, centre of Charmouth (pubs and shops) and short walk to bus from there to... We stayed here for a night for a family get together in Charmouth. It was a little expensive but the only B&B that allowed just one nights stay over Easter weekend. However the room in the annexe was lovely & spacious and we were offered (and gratefully accepted) fresh coffee downstairs after settling in. Being a slightly older property, there... More

We stayed for one night having attended a wedding nearby. We had three rooms - all very clean and tidy. The owner was very pleasant and showed us round all of the rooms. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served in a bright conservatory breakfast area. Recommended.

This b&b is a short, level walk to the beach. Breakfast is superb and the family room was clean and comfortable. The young staff were polite and helpful and the owner is welcoming. Good in-house cream teas too!

We stayed here recently for two nights. The room was a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. Because we wanted a bath rather than a shower we had to have a twin bedded room. The breakfast was absolutely superb. They even had smoked kipper on the menu which I can unreservedly recommend! Close to the beach. Thought it was... More

Warm welcome, nice clean rooms with everything you meed and an easy walk to the beach as it's flat in a very hilly area. Plenty to eat at breakfast, you can choose English or continental. Would recommend this B&B and will be returning in the future.

We had an excellent stay here. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely breakfast also cream teas to die for. Well worth a stay here. You won't be disappointed. Close to the beach, easy access to village. We will visit again.

a friendly welcome, comfortable well appointed room, convenient location, reasonable price and excellent breakfast make this a recommended base for explorations of the western Jurassic Coast; Lyme Regis, Golden Cap etc. Charmouth is in an exceptionally beautiful area of Dorset.

Stayed in a double room which had a comfortable bed and was clean. Hensleigh is more of a b&b than a hotel and a little over priced £220 for 2 nights! Needs some TLC to rooms and updating. Breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable.

We stayed at the Hensleigh recently, staff very friendly, but the rooms are dated and ordinary and massively overpriced.
