The hotel was great, family run and the staff were very helpful. We arrived late on Friday and when we mentioned we fancied a curry, they recommended a place and offered to call and make a reservation for us. Room was on the top floor, compact but had everything we needed. Hotel location was good, very convenient for the town.... More

I was welcomed on my arrival by a lovely lady called Ettie. She really was most helpful and ensured that the whole of the visit was very pleasant. Sam, who worked in the wine bar was also very friendly and chatty. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was superb and the staff went out of their way to make me... More

This is a small, family run, hotel less than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Bridport with private parking adequate for all guests. Despite arriving at 2.30 on a Sunday afternoon reception was warm and efficient and we very soon installed in our room. This was well furnished and warm with heating levels controlled by guests. Comfortable lighting to read... More

Had to stay at very short notice in Bridport, tried this end of the high street establishment. I was welcomed and dealt with efficiently, amicably and the whole experience was excellent. Single room £80-ish, no doubt on line in advance would have been a bit cheaper.. Hotel is compact, clean, comfortable and the room was smallish, big enough, lots of... More

We stayed at the Bridge House Hotel last night, for one night. On arrival we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady called Ettie, who was helpful, friendly and a genuinely lovely person. Our room (2) was clean, comfortable and had lots of character. Being young spritely things, the stairs weren't an issue, more an excuse to burn off the... More

Before I launch into what will be a very negative review, let me say that I’m not going to hide behind the veil of anonymity. I’m a member of the cabaret group, Fascinating Aïda, and I seem to be the main contributor to TripAdvisor when we’re on tour. Which is how we came to be staying here overnight. Firstly, the... More

You can lose your shirt at the Bridge House Hotel....and they will phone you up and get it back to you with a smile and a joke. I later found I'd left a phone charger too...which they posted the next day...couldn't be more helpful. So: lovely people, comfy beds and great breakfasts. Our stay was easy and enjoyable and we... This hotel owes more than a little to the comedy series Fawlty Towers - including the new trainee waiter A convenient location, decently appointed (albeit without a lift) and serving food to a high standard, the establishment nonetheless lacks either the charm of a good B&B (of which there are plenty nearby) or the professionalism of a good hotel Frankly,... I spent 5 nights in this atractive hotel beautifully situated beside a lovely park. I was in the only single room which was rather cramped but the other letting rooms looked most atractive. The staff were all cheerfull and looked as though they enjoyed working there. The breakfast room is bright and the choice of food is excellent. There is... More
