We were here 12 months ago and enjoyed our stay so when we had to return to Bridport for a family occasion, we had no second thoughts about staying here again. This time with two dogs! Had the same nice room as last time so no issues with the accommodation. Well furnished, comfortable bed with tea/ coffee/hot chocolate making facilities.... More

We needed a small but welcoming and well resourced venue for an afternoon wedding reception of about 45 people. The Bridge House provided for our every need; everything from the catering to the bar and the garden area was brilliant. The service provided by the proprietor and staff was outstanding, the ambience perfect and all at a very reasonable charge..... More

Don’t stay here unless you are prepared to pay through the nose for little sleep, inflexibility and things that don’t work. We recently stayed in a “luxury” double room for two nights. They were two of the worst night’s sleep ever as the room was so noisy from the road outside. Also, the shower didn’t work, running either scalding hot... More

Very welcoming staff, very clean and well positioned. Close to the shops as well as the beach. Breakfasts were very good and well presented. The only thing that spoilt our visit was the road noise at night. Though this is out of the control of the hotel

From the friendly and cheerful reception, all the way through to the efficient check out this was an excellent stay that suited us ideally. We stayed for 2 nights mid-week. The location is ideal for walking into Bridport and having parking available was helpful. Our room (6) was very comfortable, well equipped, spotless and had a nice outlook. Breakfasts were... More

Stayed one Friday night ready to attend a wedding on Saturday. Check in was really friendly. Room right at the top was quaint...everything needed was provided and bed was comfy. Minor gripes like it was very warm in the room, a bit cramped and there was no fixed shower. But more than made up for by an excellent breakfast, where... More

We were travelling from North Cornwall to Hampshire and needed a midway stopping-off point. This Hotel was just the place! Bridport sits almost an exact midway point in our journey. The staff tell me that many people travelling from London going to Cornwall use it for the same reason. Bridport sits just 1 mile or so from a lovely little... More

Third time I've stayed here, travelling alone and on business. Always friendly greeting, painless check in, and a cup of tea after a long drive...what more could you ask. Well, pretty room, lovely comfy bed and soft and spotless linen. Breakfast could set you up for the whole day...it's fresh, tasty and locally sourced. A couple of nice restaurants a... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our late-booking, over-night stay - we arrived late into the evening and were greeted by a very happy and very member of staff. Our bed was lovely and comfortable, and the linen was incredibly soft! Breakfast was superb and they were happy to cook for us early! All in all a great place to stay, with a very... More
