The West Bay Hotel is a 200 year old pub with rooms, on the beach at West Bay; a village which has became known as the setting for the TV series Broadchurch. Undoubtedly the village is very busy, but charm and glorious seascapes abound. Parking is difficult but the West Bay has plenty of private parking. Our room was extremely... More

Went to The West Bay Hotel for dinner three consecutive nights. There was an excellent choice of menu especially from the chalk board. Sam and his Team provided both good advice for both food and wine with the most friendly staff. We celebrated my husband's birthday on one of these evenings where we had the seafood platter which was absolute... More

We went here last night, and all I can say is that it was some of the best food I have tried down here so far! There was a wide range of variety on the menu, but what I really liked was that the menus changed daily depending on what fish they had that day so FRESH FISH DAILY! Our... More

Visited for the first time last night for a Birthday meal. The food was excellent, I had the fish dish of the day Brill with Salad and Chips. It was a huge fish and so tasty, very simply cooked to allow the taste of the fish to come through. Followed by a scrummy apple, pear and ginger crumble with a... More

We enjoyed a Sunday evening meal here and it was good. Service and food were both very good, nice cosy atmosphere. We really enjoyed. Desserts seemed to be homemade, and the sea bass special was great. My partner had the duck - he would like more duck and less tomato!

My wife and I together with a friend visited this public house at the small seaside village of Westbay. A little bit distressed on the outside but very comfortable inside with a large dining area. The menu was very good and plenty of choice with regard to seafood dishes. I had mixed seafood and chorizo stir-fry, my wife had a... More

We went to the West Bay Hotel Sunday 29 March 2015 for a meal on the recommendation of a local B&B we stay at. I agree with recent reviews and that it may have been battered by the winter weather outside, but don't let that put you off! Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good beer and a... More

The outside looked a bit unloved, but then it was March after a stormy winter and no doubt the weather has battered the paint work. On arrival on Friday evening the bar was buzzing with locals and diners. We had a warm welcome and we're shown to our room which was large and comfortable with nice bed linen, tasteful but... More
