Lovely atmosphere in this hotel, the staff could not have been more welcoming and the service was very good. However the bavette steak was as tough as old boots. Did not complain but I wonder why no one asked if there was a problem with my meal as my main course plate was collected with all the meat on it,... More

Dear Newbie_to_Andalucia, Thank for your feedback and I am sorry you were unhappy with your bavette steak. I have spoken to Head Chef, Steve, who tells me that the bavette is usually at its best when cooked rare or medium rare. I wish you had said something at the time as we would, of course, have found an alternative. You... More

We stayed here for one night through a travel zoo offer, wished it had been more! A beautiful hotel with friendly, charming staff. Our room was perfect, tastefully decorated, warm and cosy with a very comfortable large bed. Our dog Poppy was also made to feel very welcome with her own towel and a selection of treats to her delight.... More

Very small cosy hotel. Stayed in one of the best rooms no 2. It was a spacious room but bathroom very very small. Nice reading area with two comfy chairs but lamp on table not working. Mentioned this to reception but lamp was not replaced on table which meant we stayed downstairs in the lounge to read and relax. No log... More

Dear ShebaHampshire, Many thanks for your comments. I'm sorry you were not entirely happy with your stay. I cannot be absolutely sure as your review, like most, is effectively anonymous, but I believe you were upgraded from an entry level room to a four poster. My receptionist tells me that the lamp was actually replaced within half an hour of... More

This is a beautiful old building in a lovely location full of character and charm. We stayed in room 1 for two nights. It is a lovely spacious room with a well appointed en suite shower room, the housekeeping team should be congratulated as it was spotlessly clean. Other reviews have commented about noise heard from the kitchen from room... More

We had a very warm welcome on our arrival and were shown to our room which was excellent, with a beautiful and clean bathroom. A Half bottle of Champagne was waiting for us which was very generous. The cosy lounges with log fires were very comfortable and the scones jam and cream were a perfect start to our stay. The... More

Well almost, maybe a little too much Michael Bublé, other than that we and our dog were made very welcome. Nice room and the hotel facilities were excellent. The menu was interesting and the food not too expensive but good quality. All the staff were friendly and helpful, we'll certainly be returning at some time.

We spent three nights at this lovely hotel over Christmas. The public rooms are cosy and welcoming, the dining room, with its large fireplace and unusual bottle display is especially attractive. The food was very good, I especially enjoyed the artichoke soup and the Monkfish starter was so good I had it twice. The service, apart from some confusion about... More

This hotel hits the mark in every respect -- the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the rooms -- but the outstanding feature, in our experience, is the kitchen under the Executive Chef Stephen Pielesz. We had a dinner for a special occasion for a significant number of guests and the 3 course meal which the Bridge House delivered... More

We booked for two days ( on a Monday and Tuesday) and we were looking forward to the dinner service. My wife ordered the plaice for a main course, which had a supplement over the dinner rate, and was offered on the bone or off. When it arrived, it was cooked medium rare .It was sent back and I requested... More

Visited last night with my daughter for supper on our way home to Hampshire. The welcome was very friendly, the service attentive and the food absolutely superb. Attention to detail made a real impression and I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit, in fact I'd love to go back and perhaps stay in one of the rooms this... More
