We stayed for one night to escape our busy lifestyle to relax and unwind. We paid extra for a bigger room and to be in the main hotel and we couldn't fault it. The evening meal was really good as was breakfast. The only minor point and this is just feedback is that we had afternoon tea and the scones... More

Our recent stay at the Bridge House hotel has prompted me to write my first ever review. It was that good that I just had to give them the recognition that they deserve. We felt quite at home in the cosy atmosphere of the hotel, staying in Room 4 in the oldest and original part of the building. Loved it!... More

Reading the reviews and accolades you'd think this would be special!, but it didn't live up to our's or previous reviewer's expectations, the main building (hotel) is lovely, nice relaxed atmosphere, some of the furniture is a bit shabby. The room we stayed in was modern and large but lacking the character of the hotel. We had booking through Travel... More

In accord with most other reviews, the hotel and food was very good - we stayed on a TravelZoo £129 for 2 DBB offer. We had a free upgrade to room 8 - the bed was spacious and very comfy and the room itself large. However, as we discovered, this room is directly above the kitchens and the extraction fan... More

A fabulous time in this really wonderful hotel. The owners Jo/ Mark and all staff, particularly Cheryl, Claire and Beth were fantastic. Our room on the ground floor was fabulous and it felt private and VERY comfortable to sleep in. We stayed for the Valentine's gala dinner and the food and service were exceptional.......well done to all involved!!! Head chef... More

I booked this for a 30th birthday treat after reading reviews regarding the 4 poster room. We were booked into a 4 poster room (room 3). The bed was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in but I was disappointed to not have the other 4 poster room especially because I was told on the telephone that I would... More

We stayed in the coach house on a DBB basis. The room was on the small side but very warm and cosy. After reading other reviews, I requested an upstairs room as the ground floor rooms aren't very private (Even we couldn't resist peeking in as we walked past on the way to and from the main hotel!). After unpacking,... More

The hotel is small and some of the rooms are not meant for taller/bigger people. The facility is very cozy. The bar and restaurant are very well decorated and quaint. The people working there could not be better. They are very friendly and hospitable. Terry was the best!! And the Chef Steve was wonderful and would come out and check... More

We stayed for one night on a Thursday in January. We wanted to visit the Dorset coast and were attracted by the mid winter offer the Hotel were making. Our stay was excellent. We were in an upgraded (deluxe) room. It was really well fitted out, warm and comfortable. I even thought the pillows were comfortable - unusual for me... More
