Although I was initially slightly put off by some of the reviews, (I think some expect the Taj Mahal (!) I was glad I came and shall again. Although perhaps not as grandiloquent as it was in the 1960s it was extremely friendly; I paid for a single room and got a huge triple with a vast sea expanse visible... More

Where do you start to describe a place like this? We went with a group of friends, about 40 of us so we had a good time naturally. But, and it's a big but, if we were travelling as a couple we would NEVER stay in a place like this. There is so much wrong with the building and its... More

We have come to this hotel for years after years. It's a good standard hotel. The rooms are clean, the food is nice and it has a nice pool and bar area. Although it does need renovating and updating as it is a bit old fashioned but the service and staff are great.

Only stayed one night and made use of the room BUT this was in poor state of repair. Everything was grubby. Wallpaper and paint coming off, carpet threadbare, rusty bath, furniture looked as if it had seen better days.

This is an old style English hotel with floral wall paper. It is frequented by more senior citizens and at 61 I was one of the youngest. The staff are very friendly and the English breakfast at 6 GBP is good value. We got a bumper deal at 31 GBP per night (January very off season) which makes it great... More

I came away from this break needing another break! "SHOCKING" That is one of the better words for this place! Room was awful.. Depressing.. There was a smell of damp. The fire alarm went off at 3.15am.. So throw clothes on ready to get out ASAP.. Alarm goes off. No one came to tell is why the alarm went off... More

Room 104. Nice view across fields (but through filthy windows). That was the only positive about this room/hotel. Unfriendly gossiping (about complaining residents) reception staff in earshot of us and other waiting guests - and not even a 'hello' on arrival!!. The hotel was generally poor. Old and shabby everywhere we looked. Our double room was tiny and cold. It... More
