A lovely small, informal and homely place. Breakfast very good and well cooked. The owners were very welcoming and made our 1 night stay very enjoyable (enjoyed the chat about antiques!). We had the en-suite double bedroom – everything clean and tidy. Parking really helpful and useful to have wi-fi to fit in urgent emails! Thanks, by the way, for... More

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and were really pleased we did! The building was beautiful, with pretty gardens, thatched roof, big old fireplaces, and interesting bits and pieces around. Our room was pretty and comfortable, with a four poster bed, and lots of nice touches like a list on the wall of local places to eat, along with... More

Stayed here for two nights with my partner last weekend. In over three years together we had never stayed somewhere without an ensuit but the price and photos were too good so we went for it. The B&B itself only has a few rooms so using the shower and toilet was never a problem and the only time we bumped... More

We stayed one night on route back from a week in Torquay to extend the holiday and break up the journey. The main attraction was the price which is very competitive and gave us a base to explore Beer Head and Lyme Regis. The B&B is on a busy road but this doesn't interfere with sleep as you can hardly... More

spent the night at this charming B&B, lovely couple own and manage the property, worked hard to make us fell welcome, whilst the rooms were clean and well presented, they were a bit tired and could be improved by little improvements, such change plastic toilets seats to wood or composite, same with shower tray. However the price was good and... More

Whilst driving from Cornwall to Southampton, we came across this gem. Beautiful listed building and despite the fact it was 12 on a Sunday and we had two tired and hungry children, the welcome was second to none. The food was homemade and delicious, the service was excellent and the hosts really friendly.

While riding my motorbike from Portsmouth to Perranporth I spotted this lovely tea house, and something about it made me want to visit, sadly on the first and second journey past I was unable to stop but thankfully the third time I was able too. It was the perfect break to a long ride, Marci welcomed me and prepared an... More

My husband and I stayed at this charming B&B for just one night. On arrival it was like walking into a friends house, we were greated by Marcia and Gary who were both very friendly. The accomodation was clean and tidy with a very comfortable four poster bed. We thought it would be an issue sharing a bathroom but it... More

Found this place by chance on our way from Devon to Dorset, and so pleased we did. We did not stay in the accommodation so cannot comment on that, as just stopped for refreshment. The smell of freshly baked scones was a welcome in itself but the two proprietors were wonderfully welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in us. The scones... More

Everything was very basic, from the decor to the table napkins, to the food. With this in mind, I don't believe it was value for money. The one redeeming feature was the wish to please. Just a shame is wasn't carried through to execution.

The inglenook fireplaces the oak beams and the antique furniture create the ambience and characterful charm of our 16th c. Devon farmhouse. We offer use of the lounge to guests and also the decked sun terrace. The traditional Full English Breakfast or options of Scottish smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs or Granola, yoghurt, croissants and preserve are offered preceded by... More
