Whether a couple or family who love the rural environment, this is the place to find ultimate satisfaction. The accommodation is thoughtfully appointed and complete, offering everything that is necessary; clean comfortable rooms and beds and toiletries. Fiona, your host, is warm, friendly and well organised, driven by a passion to please. Her breakfast was a highlight and the farm... More

Four nights in this idyllic 12th C Farmhouse in the peace and quite of a working heavy horse farm. The owners are delightful; friendly and helpful being an understatement. The farm surroundings instantly relax you, while the actual buildings are just beautiful with enormous fireplaces and old books to be discovered. Add to this a proper farm breakfast and if... More

Just had a 3 night stay, excellent breakfast , comfortable accommodation and very friendly owners. The shire horses made an interesting addition to our break, not to mention the homemade cakes and scones and cream! Good sized room , lovely views. Will definitely return.

A group of 9 of us spent a long weekend here last week and were delighted. Lovely old farmhouse, deep in rural Devon. Fiona the best hostess - nothing is too much trouble, Best of all, sandwiches and Devon cream tea are included in the very reasonable £38 pppn. The waggon ride with the lovely Shire horses is a must.... More

We needed a North Devon base for a few days that would allow us to bring out dog and we had not taken to much time to research where to stay - Higher Biddacott Farm was the first place found and called. We arrived to be greeted by a lovely family, animals and a cream tea and the wonderful experience... More

We had a wonderful visit down to Higher Biddacot Farm. Fiona and Jonathan made us feel so at home with little touches like the Sunday paper and flapjacks all very much appreciated. It really felt like a home away from home. A couple of great drives and a quick ride on a shire horse really made the weekend unforgettable.

Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to have you both to stay. So glad we managed for you to ride Billy and that you saw the wagon going out for a drive. Hope to see you soon. Fiona More

A sixteenth century farmhouse, a fmaily-run working farm. The farm is worked sustainably with heavy horses, using traditional methods. Growing their on food and cutting their own wood. The house has spacious rooms. A log fire and wood-burning stove heat the large sitting room and dining room. Scrumptious breakfasts and tasty evening meals are provided with home-grown produce. There are... More

I booked myself and some of my wedding guests here...I'm so pleased I did. Fiona and Jonathan were so lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was amazing and after some guests arrived a bit later in the evening than expected Fiona rustled them up some scrummy scrambled eggs on toast followed by some homemade cake.... More

Although I only spent one night at Higher Biddacot Farm I was most impressed. The bed was one of the comfiest ever and I enjoyed sharing a delicious freshly cooked breakfast with the family. I'd love to return for longer as I'm sure it would make an excellent base for exploring North Devon. Many thanks for your kind hospitality.

We spent one night in this B&B and will definitely go back. A fantastic family-run B&B with great food and beautiful surroundings. The owners absolutely make this place - when they say make yourself at home, they mean it. After a stoll across the nearby fields to the local pub, we had an early-evening Shire-horse pulled carriage ride, which was... More
