Everything that's been said in praise of this B&B is very true but I think it falls short of deserving 5 stars because its a bit rough on 'the edges' and not as well equipped as other similar B&B's we've had the pleasure of staying at. Although I'm not blaming anyone for the following or complaining, I think that some... More

Higher Biddacott certainly deserves all the accolades it has received on Trip Advisor. An historic and charming building set in an idyllic part of Devon, beautiful rooms, superb food, welcoming and friendly hosts - all this and wonderful heavy horses too!

Very clean and comfortable rooms, astounding breakfast, and the host and hostess are the most friendly and warm people, we stayed twice, one night each time, as we had personal matters to attend to, and my sister who live in the village had a full house. Higher Biddacott came very well recommended, and absolutely lived up to its reputation, and... More

We arrived on Good Friday to a warm welcome - tea & coffee for us, juice for the kids and home made cakes. The rooms are pretty, clean and come with fluffy dressing gowns, toiletries, tea making facilities etc. We evn got a chocolate egg each as it was Easter! Breakfast was cooked to order, enormous, fresh and delicious. Quite... More

We booked a 3 night short break and immediately upon our arrival we were welcomed by Fiona and she kindly offered us afternoon tea and homemade cake. The room was very comfortable, a lounge with log fire, full English breakfast, and outside were the shire horses and other animals. which Jonathan was working with. With lots of places to visit... Fiona and Jonathan made us so welcome on their beautiful, ancient farm. Comfortable rooms, log fires, excellent breakfast, many kindnesses - and beautiful shire horses worked by Jonathan made our visit so special. Beautiful walks and farm trail, friendly pubs, stunning Exmoor landscape. You will not be disappointed.

Four nights in this idyllic 12th C Farmhouse in the peace and quite of a working heavy horse farm. The owners are delightful; friendly and helpful being an understatement. The farm surroundings instantly relax you, while the actual buildings are just beautiful with enormous fireplaces and old books to be discovered. Add to this a proper farm breakfast and if... More
