Nice location and room size very good. Food superb and staff very attentive and friendly. On the downside some small issue in the room (torn curtain) but biggest downside is noise outside the room late at night and early morning (06:30). Not sure if its staff or guests but letting doors slam lets down the whole experience.

Stayed here a month ago and had a fabulous time. Met up with friends we weren't expecting and we were readily accommodated on a table for six instead of two! Staff most helpful and food delicious. If you're a National Trust member it's right opposite Knightshayes so an added bonus.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights earlier this month. The staff were wonderful, all really friendly. The Maitre'd - Nelson - deserves special mention, he was attentive and professional as well as being really friendly, a real asset to the hotel. Just spent two nights there. Staff very friendly and couldn't be more helpfull. We had a junior suite which was very comfortable but room fairly small. Excellent breakfasts and evenning meal excellent value. Great news that dogs are welcome too!

Stayed on Wednesday 10th had a super Dinner a very good nights sleep in a very comfy bed and was wakened up by the best breakfast ever, Staff were good what more can you ask for. Would stay again without any doubt. No bad coments the shower was big enough for both of us.
