Collaven Manor is a peaceful, quiet and very pretty building and the same can be said of its location. We were given a friendly welcome. The bedroom was comfortable and clean and, like all the rooms, full of character. A warm fire was very cheering. The food is excellent and freshly prepared. Great coffee too.

We had a lovely time here & the owners were lovely & very welcoming. I would recommend staying in room one as it was lovely. The food was great too, the breakfast was piping hot & very tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking peace & quiet!

We stayed here for one night on our way down to St Ives in July, the small manor hotel is really for those that like things very quiet and possibly a little dull and we didn't feel we had value for money. The room was good, the food was OK but a little disconcerting when we were pressed to let... More

Very grand house and delightful grounds. Breakfasts were lovely and the hosts very pleasant to play 'publican' in the evening in the very cosy lounge. Would be a very nice place to stay in the winter, and the pubs locally are great.

I drove into this hotel by chance and was a little wary looking at the outside. However it was a great stay, nice rooms, great bed, and the restaurant, while it had a limited menu, was excellent. It is very quiet in lovely countryside and perfect to use as a base for exploring north Devon.

We spent 3 nights in the Collaven Manor Hotel and it was very spacious and comfortable. There was an air of calmness about the whole place. The bedroom and bathroom were both large, warm and beautifully decorated. The only problem was that when we came home I had to buy a new duvet and pillows because the ones there were... More

Visited this wonderful little hotel again on our way to Cornwall, and it fully lived up to our expectations in terms of comfortable rooms, attentive but unobtrusive service and delicious food, all excellent as before. It's more like being a guest at a small, intimate country house party than staying in a hotel, which makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.... More

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel. It is impossible to understand why it is rated here under guest house/inns & B&Bs and why only two stars - it's a great little hotel, with amazing food and beautiful rooms. Our room was large, with two easy chairs and a good TV with excellent TV & radio coverage and good... More

This is a beautiful hotel, just on the edge of Dartmoor. It's hidden away but with finding. We were upgraded to a four poster room which was delightful. I don't know why they only have two stars, it's much higher class. Lovely bathroom, lots of hot water and good water pressure, good wifi in rooms, lovely comfy beds. Food outstanding,... More
