This lodge is very handy for where I have been working and there were very few alternatives so I needed to stay here. On this occasion the room was extremely hot in fact unbearably hot on arrival at 22:00. All the windows were closed and in fact the noise from the A30 means it is impossible to have windows open... It was very clean and comfortable for our nights stay whilst travelling south. It was exactly as expected and a good price. We had a family room which had 2 single pull out beds and a large double. The double was comfortable but the pull out was a bit springy, our child still managed to sleep though! The Little Chef... More

We had a refurbished good size ground floor room. Great location for breaking journey and for visiting Lydford Gorge and the Moors. No problems w traffic noise. Would probably recommend a top floor room though as noise from people walking across the room above was v loud.

This was a one night business trip. Travelodge are easy to book online and will offer the breakfast in a box. The hotel was easy to find, has a decent sized car park and friendly staff. The room was quiet enough with basic amenities, the chairs in the room are uncomfortable. The 3G connection was rather weak.

Cheap and cheerful in a good location if you just want a nice clean room with a comfortable bed, that's it no more than that. There is a nice pub across the A30 just a short drive away, it also has a little Chef and Burger King next door.

This was our second visit at this Travelodge, convenient place at the north-western corner of Dartmoor and a short drive from Bodmin Moor, the Jamaica Inn & Cornwall. Refurbished rooms have greatly improved beds and bathrooms, and the price was very reasonable at £44 per night. However, the better rooms came with an unexpected sting when we were charge £20... I love Travelodges, this one at Okehampton was clean and spacious, easy to check in to and had a very comfortable bed. The room we had was very quiet despite the Travelodge being near a busy road, and we looked out onto a field. We chose Okehampton because we wanted to go and visit various places in Devon and Cornwall... More

The check-in staff were extremely unhelpful , the upstairs reaked of sewerage, fire doors were propped open with piles of dirty laundry, and I swear there was an elephant in the room above us. The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable. Mobile phone reception was not their fault - but it was non-existant for T-mobile.
