We booked up here as we love morthoe , although the room was spacious the decor is so out dated and mismatched, the reception area very cluttered and unwelcoming. Unfortunately this wasn't our kind of B&B at all looked more like a student house to be honest! On the positive , excellent breakfast and lovely doggy George, (I'd love to... More

We are a family of four and had a really lovely stay at The Smugglers. We asked for a family room and got the Lundy Room which consisted of three separate rooms, large bedroom, children's bunk bed room and huge bathroom, which were self contained. Each room was spotlessly clean and well looked after. The mother and daughter team were... More

A really good value place to stay in the lovely village of Mortehoe. Our room was spacious and very clean on arrival. Everybody, including the meet and greet dog and parrot was friendly and made our stay enjoyable. I recommend the food and the full English breakfast was especially nice. Definitely intend to stay again The Bartley's

What a wonderful weekend myself, my partner and 17 month old daughter had at the Smugglers Rest. Really cannot fault this place in any way. Everything was great and nothing was too much trouble for the warm and extremely friendly family who run it. The rooms were spotlessly clean and reached above and beyond my expectations. We will definitely be... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend for a long weekend, Brenda the lady who runs the place greeted us upon arrival with genuine warmth. We were here for my birthday and my girlfriend had rang ahead and arranged for a cake and box of chocolates, which Brenda had wrapped and left on the table in our room!Great atmosphere here, real family... All the staff at this family run pub and b&b made our stay so enjoyable, all very cheerful and welcoming. The food was also excellent. The rooms are dated, a little tatty in places but perfectly clean and very good value for money. Can't wait to go back next year. Top notch.

At Morthoe for the weekend and decided to pop in for a pint. No welcome and the atmosphere seemed really bizarre. Lots of family members in the bar area and we felt as though we had taken the wrong door and had ended up in someone's front room! Despite this, we decided to persevere and ordered 2 pints. My Tribute... More

After a very upsetting experience with another B and B we decided to stay here instead and had a very enjoyable time. We had the family room despite only being in a couple and the Room was very comfortable. Food was delicious and service was good with very friendly and welcoming staff, including George the dog :) would defiantly stay... More

Booked a room here for my parents, who stayed with their little dog Rosie. The room whilst simply furnished was clean, a very good size, with a huge en-suite bathroom, and even a little balcony on the front! A wonderful spot to watch the world go by... My parents stayed for a week whilst we were camping nearby, and they... More

We stayed here for a few days in November . A good standard room , warm & clean en suite . Good quality breakfast , good range of bar drinks . Tribute real ale on hand pull . Friendly landlady & family . Very funny dog & parrot live there also . Very cheap price with a good location .
