Stayed here for two nights on a Wowcher deal. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed with good powerful shower. As with the recent previous reviewers we found the food and service was excellent. Mention must be made of the young redheaded lady who looked after us in the evening. She must be commended for her customer service skills. She... More

Spent a very pleasant night in this small hotel set in a location which is quiet and peaceful but only a mile or so from the A30 arterial route through Cornwall. Excellent in cleanliness and hospitality and the patron makes his own crafted penguin cakes which are quaint. Cosy bar with good selection of across the board 'pub grub' and... More

Our party of 4 stayed for two nights in this hotel. The rooms were clean, well maintained and comfortable. On the first night we enjoyed the delicious food - we all had different items from the menu and all commented on how good it was. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great base for exploring the surrounding... More

We stayed here as a large group for a reunion weekend and were treated to excellent service with great food and staff who accommodated us in every way. The food was outstanding and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. and gave us the feeling that they were experienced in when to clear tables and bring on the next course in... More

I held a business meeting here last night for a number of guests, followed by a delicious meal and very comfortable night stay. The facilities are well suited for a board room style meeting, with the provision of projector and screen for power point presentations. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous...a real home from home atmosphere. My room was... More

A nice little hotel with loads of character and charm. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. The local beer was nice if not a little different to what I am use to, but still very pale table. My bedroom was quiet, clean and had every thing I needed. My bed was a little hard but... More

We stayed here with friends on the first night of our Lands End to John O' Groats trip (on a motorbike and trike) and started off with a night of luxury! A really comfy bed followed a lovely meal, the fish pie and steak pie are highly recommended. Thank-you to you all. We completed our mission in 2009 miles!

Upon arrival we were greeted in a very friendly manner and shown to the cottage. A lovely cottage with everything we needed in there ,nicely decorated well fitted out. There was a lovely garden with a table and chairs and a BBQ ,lots of room for our dogs to run around..loved it here and will definitely be back. The food... More

My niece booked this little gem for myself, sister and her for a relaxing girly get away. It is in s lovely peaceful spot, very picturesque setting. The hotel is absolutely charming, spotless with a modern dining room, cosy bar with little nooks and crannies, it would be lovely in the autumn/winter with the fires lit and the food is... More

Booked a 3 night KGB deal here. Booking was made so easy by Robert and when completed a confirmation e-mail was sent. Arrived at 4.15pm on bank holiday Monday and were warmly welcomed by Robert. Our room was the Churchill Room which was spacious and very comfortable with huge bed, whirlpool bath in one corner and separate shower cubicle in... More
