Spent 3 wonderful days at Shute Farm, with Marion and family the perfect hosts. We explored the area of nearby Hope Cove, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Thurlstone - great beaches, villages and countryside. Laurence the cat was a huge hit with our daughter, charming country rooms and Marion helpful in anything we needed. Went early morning egg collecting and watched the... More

Have just returned from this lovely farmhouse. We needed accommodation for 9 adults and a baby. The owner Marion, could not have been more helpful and even converted a room into an extra en suite bedroom (and what a stunning conversion) so that we could all stay together after a family wedding. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean and... More

I stayed twice in this lovely farm and kept a great memory of it. The farm is very comfy (chickens found my car comfy too as i forgot to close the windows :-)) Marion is a very nice person and we feel at home. She cooks a delicious english breakfast with farm products. The rooms are lovely, clean and cosy.... More

We found this little gem of a B & B by accident when we needed accomodation in the area at short notice. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and general feel of the place. Our room was fantastic and more than adequate for me, my wife and 9 week old baby. The communal lounge/dining area is beautiful and a... More

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Shute Farm, and I've had a lovely time. This trip was just me, on my own and of course could have been quite horrid! However, it wasn't, and Marion and Ken helped here as the welcome I received was great. The room I had was a great size and had... More

The farm is tucked away at the end of a small road. We were welcommed by Ken who was working in the stables. He showed us our room which was absolutly lovely with a view over the Farm and the garden. Marion made us some tea while we visited the stables. It was birthing month and there were loads of... More

This was my second stay at Shute Farm, after a trip with my son (then aged 7) 2 years ago. This time my husband joined us and we had the 'family room': simple, clean and cosy with one double bed and one single plus little en-suite shower. It was great to be on a proper working farm with calves to... More

We've now stayed at Shute farm for the May bank holiday weekend two years in a row and really enjoyed the hospitality and peaceful surroundings both times. Marion (who runs the B&B) is very friendly and practical and makes probably the best cooked breakfasts we've had in any hotel or guest house. This year we brought our 6 month old... More

We spent a night at this lovely farm and found our hosts Ken and Marion very friendly and helpful. It is a working farm with sheep cows and chickens and would, i think, appeal to children. The accomodation is very good and so was breakfast. It is definitely one to recommend if travelling in the area. Web; www.shutefarm.co.uk
