Great evening spent at the Tower on Friday. The warm welcome as you enter the pub and the excellent food and service always exceeds are expectations. The Scallops were cooked to perfection and the Venison delightful. The Tuna Steak with the watercress sauce was delicious.

Just stayed for 1 night this weekend. Booked due to my partners birthday and wanted to try a recommended Indian restaurant in Kingsbridge. Arrived while the pub was closed in the afternoon but the chef was their to answer the door and the landlord came to get our room key and show us the way. Also happy to let us... More

Found this place looking for a dog friendly pub in the Kingsbridge area for an evening meal. Not the easiest pub to find but well worth it, a great atmosphere and some of the best pub food have eaten for a long time. Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.

This place is tucked in the small village of Slaton which is only a short walk away from the pebbly beach at Torcross. There is a sandy beach just a few miles away called Blackpool Sands but they do not allow dogs on it. They have one room which you can stay with a dog and a beer garden which... More

Had a drink in this fine establishment yesterday and had tea there tonight with the family.A stunning location, we're staying local anyway. Top local Ales, friendly laid back staff. Our various meals were superbly presented and the ambience if the place was lovely. Only slight downside was some whingeing old goat behind us, but thankfully she ordered her poor old boy... More

Excellent meal and beer in a classic old pub. Fascinating location, in a beautiful village, albeit a nightmare for parking. Excellent beer (Butcombe, St Austall Proper Job and Dartmoor Best). The fresh water mussels were some of the best I have ever had and the steak cooked to perfection. Friendly and attentive staff. Well worth finding.

Staff welcoming, service excellent. Our table was bit too near the bar on this occasion as locals conversation quite loud. Will ask to be away from bar next time as we will certainly be going back!! Food yummy!!

Fantastic food and a very friendly landlord. At the end of a nice walk around Slapton what a great place to dine. If you take the car best to park in the 'park and walk' as it is called. It is an impressive building worth phographing but like a lot of pubs in the country it does shut at 230... More

This is the third visit to The Tower pre Spring. We come back as the whole experience is fantastic. We have a dog so the pub rules on canine companions, rooms and access are a massive positive. Food is excellent, new set menu really works £20 for three courses, the specials are just that and the main menu makes deciding a real difficulty.... More
