Just spent a weekend with my son. I used to take him to the Manor when he was 9 for about 5 years running with friends and family, a long long time ago so did know what to expect.. We had a fantastic time, I couldn't fault it. As long as you realise its not 5* accommodation. I had upgraded... More

This was our first time here, but it certainly won't be the last. The rooms are acceptable, the beds comfortable and the food plentiful. If you want 5* go to the Ritz. There is so much going on that you are never at a loss for something to do. Fantastic break!

Was very apprehensive about coming to Manor House when looking at some of the reviews. However, I can tell you we have a fantastic time. Yes, the rooms are like staying at your nans, but they are clean with plenty of storage and to be honest, if you make the most of the activities available, you will hardly be in... More

Amazing facilities that are virtually all included in the price. Full board better than school dinners but not haute cuisine. The bedrooms would be out of date even in the 70s. The Christmas cake artex was everywhere except the toilet seat. One of our parties' deluxe room only had two singles beds end to end (deluxe as had better view... More

ok let's be clear. If you think this is a "normal" hotel that is being reviewed, then in my opinion that is wrong. I think it is fairer to compare this to Centre Parcs. You would not go to CP if you were going for 5* accommodation and food. We went as a group of 9 and had a great... More

My husband, son and I recently (Oct 14) visited this hotel. We would say the place is pretty much cheap and cheerful with regards to the decor and food. There are some good activities available but there are extra costs involved for many. The Spa was nice and the treatments are reasonably priced. I don't mind shabby rooms with 80's... More

Just got back from The Manor House and a 2 night weekend golfing break ( golf at the Ashbury Hotel about 1.5 miles away) this was about my 15 visit over the years and it never fails to impress. Yes the rooms and furnishings are dated but have everything you need and how long are you in there for anyway,... More

I love this hotel and cannot wait to go back. There is so much to do that you could fill your day from 9 til 5 easily. Food is great and so much to choose from. It is a 2 Star but only the rooms would show under that category. That said, I have paid a hell of a lot... More

I booked a last minute 3 night break for myself at the manor after needing to get away! I felt the manor would be ideal as a single traveller with so many things to occupy myself with. I arrived on the Sunday am and as I had been there 4/5 years ago knew the style of the hotel. I had... More

The golf, sport craft and spar are great. The hotel is very poor Although their ads says the accommodation is not high grade they cannot continue to make that point year after year. It is no longer a case of not being high grade. The rooms were damp smelling and grubby. Bathroom floor dirty, radiator rusty, shelves dusty, windows dirty. Not... More

Dear j s Firstly, many thanks for your appreciation of our facilities – we are very proud of the extensive, unrivalled choice that we have. We’re sorry to hear that your recent break with us didn’t live up to your expectations. As you say we don’t claim to offer luxurious bedrooms, however we do pride ourselves on our cleanliness and...
