This was a difficult one to rate because some bits were great and some were awful. Positives = lovely golf course; lots of activities available that are included and very rarely full; young children loved the pools, play areas, bisque painting and pottery transfers and adventure and crazy golf; easy to book activities; good food; friendly staff; lots of indoor... I stayed here for 5 days from 9th August. I was part of a group of 19 people, all family members, age range between 2 and a half and early 80's. The room I stayed in was quite small, but my two cousins and I didn't spend too much time in there - we only used it to change, shower... More

My family, two adults and two teens, visited this on the recommendation of a number of friends. We were not disappointed, we took full advantage of the sports and crafts and came away feeling that we had all had a great time and wanted to return. It was nice not to be charged for every activity so you did not... More

First time to this hotel, we took our 2 grand daughters and were allocated a large family room, it was spotlessly clean with ample towels etc. The package included 3 meals a day and every meal was plentiful and very tasty, there was lots of choices to suit every taste but the real WOW was the vast amount of 'free'... Revisited again after 2 years. We still love it here and would re visit. Plenty to do for everyone of all ages. Food plentiful and lots of choice. But it really is time for the whole place to be thoroughly deep cleaned. Our rooms were not as clean as our previous visits; nothing had been done properly for quite a... More

As many have said, the décor is tired and the food unimaginative but when we are there with our grandchildren we are not bothered about the ghastly carpet or artex walls and the food is hot with generous portions. One evening we got fed up waiting for the waitress to bring our desserts but mostly the service was good. The... More

We returned to The Manor House and Ashbury Hotels after an absence of 11 years and stayed this time at The Manor. We were amazed at the developments that have taken place in the sporting and spa areas. We were a family of three generations and there was something for everyone. The food and choice was enjoyed by all, especially... More

First visit to this hotel in July 2015. Stayed for 6 nights with my 9 yr old son. He has asked about a million times if we can go again so that's his review. We did many of the craft activities together. The staff were patient and had a lovely "can do" attitude towards beginners and youngsters. The "extra" costs... More

After coming for a quite a few years now (about 7 times), we decided to go again for our summer holiday break. We stayed for five nights in a family room for 3. The room The room was rather small but we barely spent anytime in it. The bathroom was clean and had bath/shower in. The room was clean but... More
