Thank you for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed all aspects of your stay with us. You can book with the hotel direct if you do not want to use the central reservations system. This will have a more personal feel to the booking and we should be able to accommodate any special requests Regards Andrew More

Where to start....: my Dad treated my husband and I, our 2 children and my 2 sisters to a 3 night break by the sea for his 70th. We stayed on a DBB basis. At a cost of some £3.3k. The hotel's location is great - on the esplanade over looking the sea. This is where the word great ends!... More

Thank you for posting your review. I am sorry we didn't meet any of your expectations during your stay with us. I appreciate your comments and agree some of the balconies are in need of some updating. Unfortunately we have a full hotel midweek and this is the reason the hotel rooms are not guaranteed before 3p.m. on arrival days.This... More

We stayed here 19 - 22 April 2013, had a room with a sea view which was lovely. Excellent food, reasonable bar prices, bang on the esplanade. The balcony in need of a refresh but the hotel itself was newly upgraded, we will definitely go back again.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at this hotel.Room acceptable with TV and tea & coffe making facilities but was let down by an inadequate shower that needed attention as it leaked over the bathroom floor.Food adequate with a good choice of menu except if you wanted cheese and biscuits with your evening meal you had to pay extra.Tables for... Thank you for posting your review I am pleased you had an enjoyable stay with us.I have taken note of the problem with the shower and I will ensure this is rectified. The supplementary cost for cheese and biscuits is a decision made by Head Office to try and keep costs down on the menu. The Imperial Hotel looks stunning, right on the seafront at Exmouth, the rooms are warm and comfortable with good flat screen tvs, tea and coffee making facilities and nicely decorated, but the massive downside is that the food is only just edible. First night was a nice roast dinner or it should have been if they had not served PICKLED... More

The hotel is very tired and dated. Bedrooms are gloomy and darkseating uncomfortable.Toewls and bed linen very good fresh and clean. Food average promises more than it gives Not unpleasant, would not choose to stay again.

Arrived for 1 night stay in what is a standard room SO well appointed, warm, clean and two large twin beds. Lovely big clean bath with over bath shower. Looking forward to breakfast which WILL be good as we are so easily pleased and the room has already surpassed expectations.

We booked this as a break after Christmas as we didn't want to go too far from home. The hotel is a little "tired" but the only problem we encountered was inadequate heating in the room - it was a VERY cold weekend though! The staff responded by supplying extra heaters which did the trick. Service and meals were good.
