The hunters Inn is close enough to walk to the north Devon coast. We only stopped for a pint burt the staff were friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Whole heartedly would recommend! Parking is easy in the car park opposite.

We have visited before and now we live in North Devon we are fortunate to start going regularly. Today was our second time but the first sitting inside. We sat by the window with very grey skies and drizzle but it didn't matter. The garden is beautiful and the amount of bird life is amazing! Peacocks too. I could have... More

The Hunters Inn is a marvellous location, a wonderful pub but somewhere along the way its pricing/portion size has gone awry. Called today for a beer after a short walk along the coast path, we forget to take any sustenance with us, so with the beer we ordered a bowl of chips each. Big mistake, the bowl was no bigger... The food was served very quickly and everyone enjoyed it. (please put more Marie Rose sauce on the prawns). It is in an area that is... More

I am sorry that your experience at the Hunters Inn did not live up to expectation. There are times when the beer lines do need attention and this was just such a time. Unfortunately there ensued a misunderstanding which was totally unintentional and completely out of character. The bar staff are trained to a very high standard and take a... More

I can only apologise for the quality of the cakes on the day you visited us. I have looked into the situation and have made the appropriate changes so that this should not happen again. We stayed for one night, as part of a trip to walk the south west coast path. Having arrived tired and grubby, we appreciated the swift bar service and then checked into lovely rooms. Room 8 is to be recommended. Our dinner in the bar (we had dogs) was very good, enjoying the same menu as in the restaurant. The... More

A well appointed hotel perfectly located for exploring coastal Exmoor. Friendly, helpful staff have good knowledge of the area's walks and encouraged us to try one of the more challenging cliff walks, which proved most enjoyable. Can't imagine a better place to stay to get the best out of this magnificent area.
