We stayed last year in the pub which was faultless but fancied trying the lodge for more room and chance to chill out. I really can't recommend it enough. Although all the facilities were there we didn't cook but loved to get back to the lodge after a day out and evening in the hunters. Great for taking the dog... More

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely weekend. We stayed in the Hunters Lodge for 3 nights. It was a beautiful 2 bedroom appt very clean and ample room with everything needed for a self catering holiday. However if you did go self catering you would miss out on the amazing meals served in the hotel. The... More

If you have a few hours to sit and wait for a meal then call in here. Took 40 minutes whilst the place was very very quite, to serve up a panini. One chef was quite enough but even he couldn't cope with two other tables, who had small meals too and were already eating when we arrived. Heaven knows... More

Just got home after a fantastic night here. We were two of a large party in all ten rooms. We arrived in the afternoon and enjoyed a relaxed few drinks and game of pool. Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal in the evening, roast pork or beef, the portions were huge! And we were split... More

This was our second new years stay at the hunters inn and we were not disappointed. The location is so beautiful. We arrived and were greeted by the friendly staff. Our room was superb, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food was first class, fresh and plentiful, wine list is excellent as is the choice of real ales. The locals are... More

We travelled down to the SW on a wild and wet day at the end of December to meet our son and his family at the Hunters Inn with plans to do a local walk and go back to their family home for New Year . Despite the heavy grey skies and the rain the scenery on our approach was... More

What a hidden gem in a peaceful woodland setting , having driven down into the valley we were greeted by this magical looking building you really don't expect to see there, yet you don't feel isolated . We arrived at an extremely busy time but the attentive , polite staff were so welcoming and helpful and dealt with us promptly.... More

We spent 5 nights at the Sunflower Lodge in early November. We were really impressed with the quality of the finish of the apartment - it was beautifully well-thought out & really lovely to stay in. The kitchen was well designed and great to cook in. And the living/dining room was spacious & comfortable with views over the garden. The... More

Had a great stay here. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The beer was good and the food delicious. Great breakfast selection and plenty of it! The spot is stunning and the rooms clean and comfortable. Hope to stay here again soon.
