Had a few hours relaxing in the gardens of Hunters inn with a sensible priced meal and drink.the staff were pleasant and helpful. If you like you like walking you have the national trust right next door to explore and also Sandy Bay is very close a very pleasant area. Great for blowing the cobwebs out

Spectacular setting for a stay.Enjoyed every minute. Staff very attentive and smiling (rare these days) Food is very good and the haddock with poached egg is to die for. Room was excellent clean and light. The gardens are a delight. The local beers were very good. After four days being "pampered " my wife and i were sorry to leave.... More

The Hunters Inn hosted our wedding reception in September. We couldn't have wished for a more scenic setting for it, The Heddon Valley is spectacular and the gardens at the Inn are a delight. Our reception ran so smoothly, the food was excellent and, in particular, all of the staff were highly efficient. The owner, David and his manager, Annie... More

We stumbled upon The Hunters Inn by chance. After a 4 to 5 mile walk around Heddon Valley (Woody Bay), 'off the beaten track', we began and ended at this Inn. A perfect ending to a challenging climb. Beautiful cuisine, cooked to perfection, pleasant staff though slightly pricey, but Top Michelin star worthy. What better than a really hearty meal... More

This is the fourth time we have been to this hotel our last visit last year. Things have changed in the past twelve months. Breakfast is no longer served in the lovely front dining room. I particularly liked eating in here it had lovely crisp white table cloths and room was very sunny. When I went down for breakfast first... More

35 years ago i spent time here in the gardens eating cheese and onion baguettes with my family watching and fascinated by the peacocks. returned last week with my own children to find the peacocks still here! spoke to the owners who are lovely and helpful. We had sandwiches/baguettes and the girls had chips which they loved. the fillings were... More

We stumbled upon The Hunters Inn by chance, Heddon Valley is off the beaten track. We came back on the Sunday expecting 'no room at the inn' but whilst fully booked inside, there was ample room outside. What better than a really good roast beef with a dramatic, exmoor valley back drop. Great food, rapid and friendly service, less than... More
