We stopped here for some lunch whilst taking a drive through Exmoor. The beer garden by the river is really nice and it was busy so we thought it must be good. We were not disappointed! Really tasty food and good drinks! Highly recommend this if you are passing!

The hotel is in the centre of Exford on Exmoor a lovely location. We were in in original building and had no complaints about the room. Comfy well decorated rooms, good bathroom. Friends room in the newer part had smaller rooms and no power to shower. What let the place down was the service and food. The food was only... More

We can only apologise for not meeting your expectations but we are pleased to say that this is not the norm for the majority of our guests. Having spoken to the Receptionist, who does clearly remember you, she is sorry if she kept you waiting on check-in, but as acknowledged by yourself, she was in the middle of taking a... More

We stopped by on a very busy bank Holiday weekend and although it was busy were treated like long lost friends. The staff are very lovely and welcoming and the carvers was very delicious! Cosy surroundings and definitely well worth a visit! Highly recommended.

The location, the atmosphere, the food.... all spot on. If you want a true Exmoor experience do not hesitate to pop into The White Horse Inn. Just returned from an absolutely wonderful weekend with friends! Great food and atmosphere in the bar Friday night and then staff accommodated us for 'a la carte' on Saturday night with all six tired dogs! Breakfast on both days was delicious and the service by all the staff and the owners was nothing but brilliant! Sadly too full to enjoy... More

Having passed this place many times in the past and thinking it looked fascinating, I decided to drive the family out (an hour's drive) for a carvery as a treat. The pictures online belie the reality. Strip lights in the eating areas, with Bernie Inn carpets and nothing Olde Worldy or anything approaching character. The staff were all very nice... More
