We are a large family and booked Blair Lodge many months ahead for 18 of us to spend a long weekend. We could not have found a better place and we all had a great time. Rachel and Nick are such experienced and thoughtful hosts and nothing (including some very excited children) was too much trouble. The food was great... More

A group of six of us had our annual get together at Blair Lodge. I had already seen reviews and felt sure that the welcome with tea and cake must have been a one off. It wasn't, while Nick took our cases in, Rachel arranged the drinks and a piece of wonderful cake. The rooms were not that big but... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night break at Blair Lodge, our third stay here. Rachel and Nick are superb hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very knowledgeable about the area and are keen to help with suggestions for where to go and what to see during your stay. Breakfasts have... More

After a long walk from Lynmouth, we were greeted by our welcoming hosts in Combe Martin, Rachel and Nick. Cake and tea was readied and very much appreciated! What a great couple they are - both very affable, genuinely interested and know how to provide excellent customer service without fawning over you. We enjoyed a delicious dinner cooked by Rachel... Our day two of four resting place and another great but different place to stay. We were given tea & cake on arrival, which was very much appreciated after a long day's walking. The room was very clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. We dined here in the evening - a great choice as the food was very tasty... More

We were two couples doing the coatal path in July. Blair Lodge was vVery comfortable and welcoming. Lots of little gestures to make you feel a valued guest The beds were really comfortable. Lovely dinner in the evening, nice packed lunch and, lots of good advice for the walk. Central location, close to the costal path

We are walking the south west coast path over a few years and stayed here for a night on one of our trips. We arrived early-ish and were offered tea and cake. We opted for an evening meal which was excellent. I had melon and strawberries followed by fish pie. Well priced wine. Smoked haddock and poached egg for breakfast... More

I stayed at this b&b the first night of a weekend walking the coastal path. It was conveniently located for the path. The owners were very hospitable. I had a single room with a separate private bathroom across the landing. I met other guests who were regular visitors and also some ladies who were being ferried around their start and... More
