This is everything a family run hotel should be! A nice relaxed, trusting atmosphere with friendly staff. Good beer, decent food, but most of all a really friendly relaxed atmosphere. This place has a lot of character.

Myself and my family visited again in May. This was our third visit to the Staghunters. We had the family room to the front opposite the river which is a really lovely room with spacious bathroom and which is very well appointed. My mum and dad had a room at the back overlooking the immaculate gardens which also benefits from... More

We have visited the Stag Hunters Hotel on and off for the last 12+ years. We are dog owners with a dog that loves to run in the countryside and spend as much of his walk in the water that he can. If your dog has similar needs, this is the place for you. The hotel is family run and... More

After a good two hour walk along the DOONE Valley, head towards Brendon and you will come across The Staghunters. A great venue for a well earned drink. Cannot comment on the cuisine but the dining room looked full for Sunday Roast.

A trip to this part of the world is always a pleasure. Coupled with staying at the Stag Hunters Inn it's pretty much perfect. This visit was for two nights and the experience was up to it's normal high standards. Food and service excellent. Only downside is that it was for only two days but I will be back.

Myself, my husband and Bella the cocker spaniel have just returned from a lovely Bank Holiday weekend away at The Staghunters Inn. Everything here is great, Wendy and Richard made us all (Bella too) feel very welcome and even the weather wasn't too bad!!. It is very dog friendly and has endless lovely walks available straight from the hotel. Our... More

Myself and my fiance Emily visited the Staghunters for two nights with our dog Toby from the 25th- 27th March, after being advised by family members that it was not a pub to be missed! From the moment we walked in the door it felt like a home from home. We were greeted at reception by Simon who kindly showed... More
