We read reviews of others before staying at this family run hotel and sometimes you wonder where they stayed! One said avoid the hotel when there is a wedding - rubbish. We were there when there was a big wedding on and there was no disturbance to the normal well ordered routine. Food - Excellent, different menu each night, good... more

We have just returned from a 5 day break at the Langstone Cliff hotel. We decided to be eco-friendly and took the train to Dawlish from Birmingham..A pick up was arranged at the Station but as we ended up in a different place to the driver we were rebuked when he found us.Not the best of starts! An extension to... more

Having stayed many times at this hotel over the years I am a little surprised at some of the adverse comments posted in this forum. The hotel is family owned and managed and the staff appear to remain loyal over the years and are all most helpful and welcoming. One can park your car in the ample car park at... more

We went with our 2 kids (2 1/2 and 11 weeks). The toddler had a great time, but we had to watch him like a hawk. We had a nice holiday, but would have had the same quality in the local campsite. I can't fault the waitering and bar staff as they were very nice but I do feel there... more

I stayed here for two weeks during the off season. They had a special on which made it cheaper for night+breakfast+supper than just night+breakfast. And what a supper it was! Normally they charge £19.50 for this meal consisting of your choice of starter, main, dessert, cheese&biscuits, and coffee with chocolates. Portions are more than ample. I had my fill after... more

Been to this hotel with my son who is now 9 for the last 4 years running although I have made it a general policy to never go anywhere twice as there is so much to see in the World. I return because of the service and helpfulness of the staff. Once I got over my english reserve at being... more

Although the hotel was set in lovely grounds and had good children's entertainment the food was really really bad. We ordered our daughter lunch which they charged £5 for and consisted of lukewarm mashed potatoe with huge lumps in, some spaghetti hoops, brocolli and carrots. We didn't have lunch there again! The children's food in the evening was poor. Fishfingers... more

Quite simply, this hotel has just about everything a holiday hotel should have. Beautiful location, magnificent gardens with stunning sea views. Food unpretentious but excellently cooked and well presented, with many choices every day. Spacious comfortable rooms with satellite TV and all mod.cons. The staff are always helpful and most efficient. The parking facilities are excellent. I have stayed at... more

Have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. We went with our two teenage children as there were plenty of facilities to keep them occupied and lots of lounges for us to relax in. The public areas are all well maintained and the leisure facilities are excellent-the outdoor tennis court is in an excellent position, the tabletennis was in... more
